What a wonderful written story of two lost souls. This book was so deep in their personality that I had to put it down quit a few times to take a breather. The characters of Marcus and Marquerite was told in both POV which made the story line flow smoothly on the page.I said that they are two lost souls but what they are, are two broken people who just happen to meet and connect in this deep dark mind set. It was just crazy what Marcus does for a living and how he became what he was, but in the end Marquerite and Marcus will try to hold on to one another, but will it last? I can't wait for book two "Marguerite's Grace"
By chance, they meet in a bar and he decides he wants her. So he drugs her and takes her. But he gives her the choice if she wants to go with him for half a million for a year or she can go back to her sad life.
While I like the story line I feel like a lot was missing. You only got glimpse of their previous life and what is going on at a time. You got most of your details and story during the sex scenes. While I like the plot just wish there was more to it and not so much hesitation on how they feel.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
