Margaret Thompson Reece PhD is a scientist trained in physiology at the University of California, Davis. She began her career as a researcher at the San Diego Zoo, studying reproduction across the Order Primate.
Dr. Thompson Reece's career includes 20 years as a Research Scientist and Laboratory Director in academic medical departments in California, New York and Massachusetts. Following that, for 6 years she served as Chief Scientific Officer at Serometrix LLC, Rochester, NY and she now heads Reece Biomedical Consulting LLC in Manlius, NY.
She is passionate about explaining the intricacies of human physiology to those new to medical science, including those who simply want to better understand what they read in the news. She offers study strategies and tips for success to college students seeking a career in healthcare through her blog at www.MedicalScienceNavigator.com, her books and by speaking. Dr. Thompson Reece teaches her signature course "30-Day Challenge: Craft Your Plan for Learning Physiology" online. She privately coaches a small select group of medical students.
