What a fantastic idea. Yes it is expensive but after seeing the quality and ease of use I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
The inside canister has the marking for measuring so they will not get rubbed off so easily. When making a drink the two pieces are placed together and then given a half turn so that the bottom holes are not aligned. When you are done adding the ingredients you give it a half turn to the empty indicator and then the holes will be aligned and dump the contents into the Margaritaville pitcher.
