I have used this machine approximately 15 times and is about 9 months old. During the latest use, this piece broke during normal operation. This piece is made of flimsy plastic and is not durable enough to do the job that it is made to do. Item is out of stock, so I called customer service. I was told that they would send me a new one because my machine is still under factory warranty and there is no way that I can use my machine without this part and they don't know when the part will be back in stock. Being that I bought the machine from Amazon Warehouse Deals, they are refusing to replace the machine, even though I was told twice, by two different people, that they would send me a new one. Margaritaville's warranty states : "This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance." I received my machine factory sealed from Amazon and am the original purchaser. The only damage to the box was a 1" slit from possibly a box cutter. Margaritaville is not honoring their warranty, stating that the item was sold as "used-like new" There is nothing in their warranty verbiage that says that the product cannot be "used" just that a person has to be the original owner. Now I'm stuck with a paperweight now since the machine is inoperable because of a $1.99 part. Other reviewer states that this piece has been replaced multiple times. I'll never buy another Margaritaville product again since they are refusing to honor their warranty.

Worked good while it lasted (1.5 years). Warranty is 1 year. BEWARE...you cannot gets internal parts and the manufacture does not have a service department to send it back. If if breaks after one year, the manufacturer will only offer a slightly discounted price off a new one. They basically told me to throw it away and buy an new one. What a joke.

I ordered this for a margarita party. It started leaking the minute I put the margarita mix in the machine. The mix did not stay frozen, melted right away, but I guess that is because it was leaking so badly. In addition, It was very hard to get it working. The blinking red light would not stop. When we finally got the light part fixed and turned it on liquid started leaking from the side and back of the machine. Not just a drip, a large amount of mix was constantly leaking out. lost $19.99 in margarita mix. The unit would not dispense anything. The water container would not click into place and the unit appeared to be a return. It appeared to have been previously used. Contacted Amazon and they agreed to an exchange. Hope this one is new and that it works. Needless to say we drank wine instead of margaritas for the party. The machine I received was horrible, hope that is not an indication of any future margarita machine.

I bought this for 230 last year on sale. At first it shaved ice fine, it then started to become faulty and would auto turn on and shave ice thick like a cheap snow cone, around this time I noticed it started to spill water from the inside. Now today it spills water from the inside and not into the water container on the back. When I first got it, it was great but now I got to see if I can fix it or find an alternative brand.

I purchased this in March and have used it 6 times. By the third use, the dispenser was not working quite right . It would not dispense unless the pitcher and dispensing spout were just perfectly aligned. By the final use, it began shooting the drink out during the blending process, leaking all over and not dispensing at all. I just went on to return and get a replacement and discovered the "window" had closed for me to do this. Now I am just stuck with a very expensive broken item.

This product is great. I would definitely encourage you to purchase it. I got the machine today, it came packed very well and there wasn't any damage to the machine. I got the machine home, I had it delivered to my work, opened it up and it was in a few pieces that were easy to assemble. So the machine is all set to go so I fill the top with ice to the line and close it, no problems, I slide the ice nozzle over to add my ingredient's and then put it back, very intuitive. Plugged it in, turned it on, chose the settings and pushed the start button. Now this is the only reason this product doesn't get five stars. When I hit that start button this thing came to life like you wouldn't believe. It started to shave the ice on top of the machine and blend the mix in the container and the sound it made was incredible. It was VERY loud, and I mean LOUD. Now this is normal and really to be expected because hey it's high powered blender and a heavy duty ice shaver powering away to make you some frosty goodness as fast possible. So to be fair I had to take a star away for the noise. When you set this thing off everyone around is going to look at what the racket is, but I would say it's a small price to pay. So now the cycle is done and it looks good and icy and mixed like it should be. So I take my glass and push it up against that lever of icy happiness and it comes to life again, a little less than before because the ice shaver on top stays off, and out it comes with some pretty good force. There were some really small drops that bounced out of my glass, like a really fine mist, no problem though. So I take that first sip and it's good, not great though because I like my drinks a little more icy so what do I do? I hit that shave ice button and fill the container with more shavings till it looks like the arctic and hit the blend button for a second and now it's Great. I just love this machine. I'm in Southern California and it's going to get plenty hot this summer and this miracle of icy joy is going to make those days pass by with no problems, as long as I don't run out of mix and ice. So don't hesitate to hit that order button, I know this baby is pricy but it is definitely worth it. It's 80 degrees at 10 at night as I'm writing this and I have to tell you this "Frozen Concoction" I have here sweating away, instead of me, has me feeling cool as a cucumber. I also would recommend the extended warranty I got when I bought the machine. I know, I know usually they are a waste of money but for $30-$40 for 4 years they pay for shipping it back and if it can't be fixed they give you your money back. Now I tell you for that amount of money how can you go wrong? It pays for itself just with the shipping costs. So Frosty goodness and peace of mind, you can't go wrong. Thank you.

Should have bought the cheaper model, this model is ok... if your recipe is off with booze or mix then it clogs the dispensary nozzle. Pain in the ass. My sister has the green one that’s $179.99 and it absolutely kills this Bali model. Save the money and buy the cheaper model!!
I’m putting this on kijiji and buying the cheaper model that works every time!!!

Hope this review helps keep a couple bucks in your pocket, rather then on your counter top with this unit that isn’t the greatest.

Purchased this to make very thick icey drinks but the blender will not mix the shaved ice if you don't add enough liquid. It makes GREAT, smooth margaritas and daiquiris just don't expect them to be really thick. Sadly had to return it.

I had the Bahamas maker previously (it busted and couldn't be fixed) and find that the Bali maker is superior in every way because of the robust design and most importantly the option to shave the ice manually. The preset buttons for drinks are great and work as intended but having control over the ice mixture by using the manual button makes the money charged for this maker well worth it.
