The story is strange and pagan based. It just wasn't all that compelling for me, but that's okay. The game part was fun, and that's what matters most. The one thing I didn't like were the way quests were organized. It's inside a large city and you slowly make your way through the city. I suppose you could say each level is a new part of the city. The thing is, you'll be on one side of town, then it'll tell you have to go to the X part of the city to find an object. You then have to go all the way back (it's like a maze) and then it has the nerve to tell you you now have to go to yet another part of the city. Couldn't they just give you a shopping list? I would say a large percentage of the game play time is going back and forth through the city and that annoyed me, which is why I've given it only the 4 stars. Had that not been an issue, then I would've given it 5.
The graphics are okay. We're not talking HD now, but it's quite beautiful. I played it on my Win 7 laptop, but it did have moments of lagging. I don't think it's my computer because I didn't have this problem with the other games. I suspect that the main character does most (if not all) of the female voices, but even so, it's enjoyable.
All in all, I do recommend it. It's definitely worth the $3 (for the download) that it is, at the time of this writing.
I will say it again: This was a truly wonderful game. The artwork is BEAUTIFUL. You absolutely get the feeling that the team really cared about this project. And there were so many unique things that happened, creative characters that you met, and original puzzles to solve. I have played a lot of hidden object games by now (my other favorites are the Nancy Drew games and Alex Hunter: Lord of the Mind), and this one manages to have something that none of the others do. I would highly recommend, and would love a sequel (I've already played the prequel).
