About Maria Gibbs
Maria Gibbs is a multi-genre author who has loved reading and writing from a tender age. Escaping into or creating a world where someone can lose themselves in a story is what drives her. The common denominator between her books is the tug on the heartstrings effect. Heart-wrenching stories that make readers cry.
The first book she published was a novelette, As Dreams are Made on which is about a young woman who is dragged into a dream and rescued by an enigmatic man whose intentions are not what they first seem. In the meantime, her husband fights to save her life in the real world.
To date, Maria has three novelettes and seven novels published but has over forty ideas for new stories.
The most popular of her works is the Children from the Streets six-book series which is based in Brazil. Her inspiration came from Christina Lamb’s book, Small Wars Permitting, as she researched life as a foreign correspondent for another series she was working on. A Boy from the Streets is the first book and was meant to be a standalone book until the characters started whispering into the author’s ear as they wanted their story to be told.
Maria is employed in property management currently, in the West London area, but is working towards making writing her full-time career.
