About Marianne Waddill Wieland
Marianne Waddill Wieland - 2014
Have you ever wished you could have a ‘do over’? I think most of us have wished that at one time or another. As I was writing this book, I realized I was writing the life I would have chosen for myself if I had been able to do so. The character of Jill is spunky and independent as well as beautiful, even though she doesn’t realize it. I love to cook and would have loved to have run my own restaurant. However, thinking about the hard work, long hours, and time commitment this would take caused my lazy side to kick in. There was no way I could do this and work full time in my regular job. Then I thought, I won’t be able to do it, but I can write about it. And so this book began.
My real world is very different from Jill’s life. I have been a nurse for years and more years singing and dancing on stage or behind it directing. My ex-husband, Douglas, and I have taken care of my mother for the last six years. She is in the end-stage of Alzheimer’s disease and on hospice now but can still make us laugh…and cry. I have raised my two sons, Scott and Steven and a host of various animals.
Although I was born in Beckley, West Virginia, I was raised on the east coast in the tourist town of Williamsburg, Virginia. Several years ago I moved to the small town of Bellevue, Michigan, where I currently reside. None of the characters in this book are real, but they do consist of bits and pieces of my life and the lives of my family and friends. I hope you enjoy reading my ‘do over’ as much as I enjoyed writing it. See you at Mountain Mama’s!
Marianne Waddill Wieland - Update 2017
The only constant in this world is change and in my life, there has been more than enough with more looming on the horizon. I am currently working on more than one book at a time and enjoying writing short stories more than I can tell you.
I am currently still living in Michigan, but I am sad to say my mother passed away in January 2017, peacefully, may I add. I feel like a part of me left with her but at the same time part of her lives on within me. I miss her with every breath.
As I am writing this, I am thinking about all the author friends I have met over the past year. I have also reconnected with some old friends in my hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia, and am considering this town as a possible place to relocate. Although I am sure I will miss my boys, Scott and Steven, I am continuing to live life to the fullest as much as possible. And I wish the same for all of my readers!
Marianne Waddill Wieland - Update 7-2020
I have been writing most of my life, and the thing about writing, for me, is that it allows me to escape into many different situations and places. I can be anything, do anything, try anything that, in real life, I would never do. However, I find that my professions of nursing and teaching, creep into my writing more often than not!
Most of my life has been spent on the stage in one capacity or another, singing, dancing, and eventually writing and directing. I have written many musicals and plays that have been performed in my home state of Virginia and also in Michigan, where I still reside. As time passed, I found that I enjoyed the writing and directing more than being on the stage myself, as well as motivating others to find their hidden talents.
I started writing the novels a few years ago to escape from the difficulty of everyday life that happens to us all at times. I have continued with it because I have developed a love of this type of writing and a love for the characters I have created. I hope to continue on this path, supported by my readers and those that assist me in this endeavor. I am grateful for the opportunities my readers and fans have given me and I will always be thankful to you all. I hope to continue writing and creating characters for many years to come.

Missy refused to believe it.
The team, now stationed at Quantico Marine Base, did their jobs every day and hoped Missy would eventually accept reality. Finn takes matters into his own hands where Missy is concerned, and shocks her back into life.
As Missy is forced to accept that she will never see Henry again, she turns to Joe and Finn for comfort… and passion. However, as evidence mounts, secrets start to unravel as Joe tries to keep the team, and Missy, from learning the truth.
Missy and Finn race to Henry’s childhood home, hoping to find answers, but instead, find the shocking reality of which even Joe was unaware.
Henry Lived his life on the edge, shrouded by mystery. Perceived by his cohorts as cold and emotionless, only those closest to him knew that he was anything but. Until he met Missy.
Missy’s life was an open book. A nurse and author, she was always looking for new adventures from the comfort of her own desk chair. She thrived on learning as much as she could about the world around her. Spending countless hours on her computer writing and promoting her books, Missy was not looking for a relationship.
Then she met Henry.
Complete opposites, they started off as online friends, but their passion and fire grew quickly. Finally meeting, their first touch would set off a chain reaction of events that would throw them into dangerous adventure. The kind that Missy only ever read about.
