About Marilee Brothers
I am a life long resident of Washington state and the author of a young adult urban fantasy series (Unbidden Magic), as well as a standalone YA book titled Baby Gone Bye. In addition, I've written five adult novels, The Curse of the Rose, The Rock and Roll Queen of Bedlam and the Soul Seeker trilogy, Affliction, Allegiance and Hope and Honor. I spent a number of years as a teacher and school counselor for at-risk youth. Those years gave me a wonderful array of characters to write about. In addition to writing, I love to read, spend time with my family and hack my way around the golf course. I'm on Facebook, Twitter and love hearing from readers. I have a blog called Book Blather and welcome all those who love books. http://bookblatherblog.blogspot.com. Please visit my website, www.marileebrothers.com.and like my Facebook page, www.facebook.com/marilee.author. If you send me a comment, I promise I will answer.

In other words, Allie Emerson's life as the Girl Voted Least Likely to Save The World From Evil has gone from Weird to Super-Charged Super-Weird, and it's about to get even weirder. "You're a faery princess." So says the mysterious Ryker, whose handsome talents include turning himself into a hawk. By the way, he and Allie are destined to marry. In faery land. If they can save it from forces even more deadly than Trimarks and high school.

Now he finds that "magic" in a basket on his doorstep, cooing at him like a happy little bird.
Gabe, you probably already know our baby is, well, different. If not, you'll find out soon enough. Let's just say she has certain qualities most babies don't have. The thing is, I'm scared. I'm on my own and can't keep her safe. But you can. You're strong. You have a family to watch out for her. Bad people want her. That's why I left her with you. I don't really understand what's going on, but it has something to do with The Abolesco. Don't try to find me. Please, take care of our baby girl and love her. Okay?
The Abolesco are not friends of the family. They're on baby Birdie's trail, but why? Suddenly party-boy Gabe has to man up to protect his daughter. Not so easy when her talents include vanishing into thin air. It's up to Gabe and his girl-pal Abby--who has some extraordinary secrets of her own--to find out what's up with something called the Scientific Academy of Merit, what the goons want with Birdie, and whether other kids like Birdie can be saved, too.

Along the way, she learns a valuable lesson about the power of forgiveness.
