Product description

Marina Ecoscaper Silk Plants are true-to-life aquarium plants that naturally blend into any fish aquarium to create remarkable and realistic looking aquascapes that will enhance your aquatic environment. These silk aquarium plants have intricate color variations that closely mimic real plants. The supple plants are also designed to undulate in the current to create added realism. The fake plants make a great alternative to live plants, which require frequent care and maintenance. They are easy to install, simply bury the base of the aquatic plant in the aquarium rocks or gravel. Made of safe, non-toxic silk material, they will not affect your fish tank’s water chemistry. The natural color finish will also not fade and is completely safe for all fish tank occupants. These plants are a great way to provide your fish with a fun colorful environment to live in. Unlike real plants for fish tanks the Marina Silk Plants are easy to maintain and clean. For cleaning simply hand wash with warm water. This piece of aquarium décor is designed to be a Hydrocotyle Leucocephala and is 8 inches (20.32 cm) tall. For more fish tank accessories check out the other Marina products including aquarium filters, filter media, aquarium heaters, aquarium air pumps, aquarium lights, aquarium thermometer, and aquarium stands. Marina has a wide variety of products that are perfect for your pet fish or betta fish to enjoy in any large fish tank, small fish tank or in a freshwater tank.

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay
By Nat on January 20, 2018
Sparse and not as full as the pic shows. Some pieces are literally glued on. Should be better quality for the price. I looks OKAY. Not wonderful though. UPDATE: Now that the plant has been in the tank for a few days, the glue pieces are all turning white on the plant. Other white spots from glue have appeared on the leaves now too where the glue may have been wiped or rubbed off on it when being made. Down graded from 3 stars to 2 stars because of this. Poor quality and really should have been made better. Glue on something that goes into a fish tank? It made it look ugly and it's not safe for the fish in the tank. Removing it and never using it again. It's too bad. It showed promise.

5.0 out of 5 stars I realllllllllyyyyy like it
By Grace T. on December 10, 2016
Really like it! Looks pretty in my 5.5 gallon tank and my betta, Percy really likes swimming through it. He can also lounge on the leaves. It's soft and looks cute, it matches his 'Roman/Greek Ruins' theme perfectly. I would -1 star Bc a couple leafs(like two) fell off, but I was able to push the back in place. It's actually better that they can fall off Bc they don't easily, but with the pop on & pop off design, it shows that they don't use any glue, which is great! It's also super cheap, some other plants are $10+ for a similar thing.
With these things, some people can get lucky and get a better product, so I can't speak for the ppl who had a bad experience. I'd say though, for less than $4(that's what it's at now) I'd say it's worth a shot. Don't love that it's an add on rather than prime, but I get it.

3.0 out of 5 stars He likes it, so, not bad
By Sage Maven on August 25, 2017
I ordered 2 of these for side by side tanks. Good shape and size, but the "silk" leaves were not as soft as I'd anticipated them to be. Regardless, they passed the nylon test and are likely ok for a betta setup. Biggest con was that one arrived with two leaves missing in a very conspicuous area near the top leaving sharp-ish plastic spike posts exposed. I transferred one from the bottom of the complete plant from an area I could hide to make it look better. Bummed they weren't even in the bottom of the bag.

1.0 out of 5 stars Was for terrarium use but leaves fall off- soft leaves, no sharp edges, BUT very poor workmanship
By SK on June 1, 2019
The plant arrived with a loose leaf in the bag. I slipped it back on but 2 more leaves have fallen off in less than a day. The plant itself has a great design (the leaf looks like a very green cross between cheeseweed and nasturtium), the leaves are soft, and there aren’t any sharp edges BUT the quality of workmanship is the worst I’ve come across. I’ve included a couple of photos showing how it looks in a terrarium with real plants. Since the leaves don’t stay attached, I can’t give it more than a single star -I’ve no doubt that if I used it in an aquarium and a fish brushed by, more leaves would slip off the stems.

I don’t like this decoration at all. It looks incredibly cheap compared to the pictures. The leaves are very rigid and hard even though they are “silk”. There is also sharp plastic spikes sticking out of some branches. Will definitely harm betta fins. I do not recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soft plant but base should be heavier
Reviewed in Canada on September 4, 2020
This is so light that when you put it in the tank (before adding water) it will just flop down. The base that holds everything together should really have more weight bc once you fill the tank the entire plant will float up. The gravel is too light.

To fix this I had to add a few bigger rocks on my tank just to hold this down.
Hopefully it stays down otherwise it’s a really nice safe plants for bettas (I haven’t added my betta yet)
