This is the second on-board charger that I have had. The first was a double output Guest charger but only had 10 amps total output. The first charger only lasted about 1 year before burning out. This Guest 2620A charger has performed very well for over a year and always has my batteries ready to go, Winter or Summer. I love just hooking up the charger and forgeting about it. It takes care of your batteries, wheter you use them all the time or just once in a while. I would highly recommend this charger.

This unit cannot be used while there is any load on the batteries. I burned one out by having my cabin lights on while charging at the dock. The sealed water proof design also means its not serviceable when it burns out.

We had to replace one of these units on an existing device. Overall, this is a nice drop-in replacement Marinco Guest 2620 unit and has exactly the same electrical charging specs as well has physical mounting pattern. The construction is extremely solid. The unit is completely encased in a solid waterproof enclosure.

However, I'd like to point out that while the mounting pattern is the same, the thickness of the flange has changed from its original thickness. We had to source new bolts to attach it to an existing mount.

Our original Marinco Guest 2620 was purchased in 2003, and lasted for about 12 years before failing (12 years with 7 months per year usage, usually set to charge each night), in a cold but dry indoor environment. I'm not complaining about a 12 year lifetime, but beware these things don't last forever.

Great product. Has been installed for two years. Constantly in operation feeding a bank of three large 12 V RV batteries. The batteries remain in great condition as the charger keeps then topped off without over doing it. Please note: If you mount this unit on an inside compartment, you will notice that the unit will generate some heat during continuous charging cycles. To ensure good heat dissipation, I used 1/2 in standoffs when I bolted it through my bulkhead. This has worked well and I am sure it has increased the serviceable life of this great Charger.

I bought a Marinco 10 Amp charger which works fine but just did not charge fast enough during my 2 week vacation on the boat. The 20 amp tops off the batteries each night so they are ready to go in the morning. I am using one deep cycle/starter battery and two golf cart batteries for cabin power. Marinco makes a good solid state product so that is why I bought the same brand when I upgraded. 20 amps solved my weak battery problems. I will use the old 10 amp charger for my pickup :-)

Was surprise with the heavy weight when I received it. It is a solid unit that seems to be made to hold up against the weather. Charges two batteries at the same time on a pontoon. One battery in rear and the other trolling battery 20 feet up front via 12 gauge weather proof wire. Used three strand from Lowes but ony needed two wires. Saves money. I added the connector through the hull side for the power cord. Just have to lift cover and plug in an extention cord from ground level without having to climb inside the boat.

Purchased this product for my boat. Installed it and it worked fine for about 9 months. I can't figure why it went out or fine any fuses to change. I need to replace it at this time and will be installing a different charger.

The 24V charger on my generator went bad - it's a separate output from the 120/240V - so I simply purchased this charger and connected it to the 120V outlet. I've had it for 6-7 years now, and it has been outside for at least 2-3 of those. The sun has faded the plastic case but it still works very well. Definitely a quality product!
