With humanity joining the alliance to fight the Naxli invaders, the war should be turning in their favor.
Unfortunately, the enemy must not have gotten that memo.
Across the galaxy, the Naxli strive for total domination. To create a stronger resistance, Gunny Pelletier is sent to work with the various races, but he and his team soon discover that reaching common ground and coordinating military action is far more difficult than they’d imagined.
But the Naxli aren’t pausing to give the allied races time to work out the kinks, which means it's time for humanity to go at it alone once again. Bureaucracy must wait while Marines do what Marines do best.
Besides, humanity owes the Naxli a few paybacks, even if the rest of the allied races are not willing to join the mission.

About the authors
I am a retired Marine infantry colonel and now a full-time writer living in Colorado Springs with my wife Kiwi and twin baby girls, Danika Dawn and Darika Marie. I am a two-time Nebula Award Finalist, a two-time Dragon Award Finalist, and a USA Today Bestselling writer.
I published my first work back in 1978, a so-so short story titled "Secession." Since then, I have been published in newspapers, magazines, and in book format in fiction, political science, business, military, sports, race relations, and personal relations fields. I returned to writing fiction in 2009, and I currently have over 80 titles published, 53 being novels. My novelette, "Weaponized Math," was a finalist for the 2017 Nebula Award, "Fire Ant" was a finalist for the 2018 Nebula Award for Best Novella, "Integration" was a finalist for the 2018 Dragon Award for Best Military Science Fiction or Fantasy Novel, and "Sentenced to War" was a finalist for the 2021 Dragon Award in the same category.
My undergraduate degree was earned at the U. S. Naval Academy (Class of 1979), and I have attended graduate school at U. S. International University and the University of California, San Diego, earning a masters and doctorate. I am a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the US. Naval Academy Alumni Association, and the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America where I'm serving as the chairman of SFWA Ed, our professional education program.
I have rather eclectic tastes. I have won awards in photography, cooking, writing, and several sports, earning national championships in rugby and equestrian events. When I'm not writing, I'm reading, cooking, going to the gym, or traveling. I attend quite a few cons over the course of a year, and love meeting other people who love books.
I write because I love it. I only hope that others might read my work and get a bit of enjoyment or useful information out of my efforts.

On one strange mission, Rev and co are sent in to repel the Naxli from what amounts to a hell planet even though no one is living on it and there are no valuable resources...... However this turns out not to be true.......!
Packed full of action, intrigue, military manoeuvring, interpersonal relationships, death, miracles and surprises, this makes for another highly entertaining novel in this series.
Top reviews from other countries

The series has grown so much it would be a pity to not expand it even more.

The memorial scene was superb though I wish we’d have more of such moments in the books. With its fast paced plot, the significance of the various events sometimes gets lost as the battalion is being rushed from one corner of the galaxy to another. But the memorial scene puts everything into perspective and very viscerally shows the monumental sacrifice every soldier has made for humanity to survive.
The epilogue hints at another such unsung hero. Somewhere in deep space, alone, in enemy territory, doing what needs to be done so that humanity can survive.
Keep on writing. Looking forward to the next one. It promises to be a reckoning.
