I have worn this scarf almost every day for a year and it is great. I get chilly very easily even in the summer and often carry this with me. I LOVE this item. It is soft, warm, cute, and low-key. I still think the length is perfect and I like a good loose wrapped scarf with a lot of volume and space to move around in it. I use it as a lap blanket on flights when I am chilly and pop it up as a hood during light (and even some heavy) showers. I totally panic when I think I have lost it and find myself at a loss when I have to choose something else to wear if the few times I have left it at friend's houses.
Original review (Jan 2016):
I was nervous that this item would be too short. It was perfect.
I cut off the fringe and made it into a circle scarf. It's so warm and cozy. Even doubled over as a circle scarf it's still large enough to drape over my knees if they are chilly.
Warm, non-scratchy wool. Everything I had hoped it would be.
Black - perfect. What else can you say about black? I always wear it with a dark top, so I don't know if any "fuzz" would show on a lighter top.
Silver grey - definitely grey, but light. It's also a beautiful neutral grey - not too cool, not too warm. If you wear it with a darker top, just not that some fuzz will appear on the top.
Peacoat - a beautiful navy that is deep but still blue enough to not be mistaken for black.
Camel - I returned it only because I found it was more of a light, warm brown than what I had hoped for.
Beige - This was the color I ordered after returning the camel and ended up being the color I was looking for. Sometimes, beige can have a good deal of ivory, but this one is definitely a light tan, and is absolutely beautiful.
Rhubarb - a rich, deep burgundy. It's warmer than a wine color, but definitely not red. While the color is lovely, it is too much for my fair skin. Fortunately, this company is fantastic about returns, so I can easily return it.
There you have it! More than you've ever wanted to know - lol. The great thing is that, if you order a color that does not end up being what you had hoped, you can easily return it for free. These wraps are great quality and affordable. I highly, highly recommend them!
Also, unlike some wool scarves this lambs wool scarf doesn't cause annoying static cling; a cheaper wool scarf that I bought on Amazon did. This scarf in contrast offers the comfort of cashmere and even more warmth.
