Mark Alger is no relation to Horatio Alger. His mother wrote in his baby book that he was named "for himself." A commercial artist living in Cincinnati, Alger has been working on the Dolly Apocrypha and the Dolly Canon -- two distinct story arcs set in the same ficton -- for over fifteen years. The aggregate is being published as a series of novels in ebook and trade paper formats under the rubric: The Baby Troll Chronicles.
Alger is currently at work on the third volume of the Chronicles, expected later this year.
Described by his tastes, preferences, and skills, Alger is an artist, a writer, a musician (although he says, "I have a Gibson Les Paul Pro under the bed, but the closest I've come to playing guitar recently was shaking hands with Justin Hayward"), a finish carpenter, a photographer, household staff to ten cats, husband to one wife, grandpa to two handsome grandsons and three beautiful granddaughters.
Alger blogs on art, life and writing at the The Baby Troll Chronicles.
