Mark Bousquet was born in Massachusetts, and has lived in the Northeast, Midwest, West Coast, and now resides back in the Northeast. Primarily the writer of genre fiction (science fiction, horror, westerns, fantasy, action, superhero, and mystery), he has also published adventure stories for kids and film and environmental criticism. With over a dozen books and just as many short stories in circulation, he was nominated for 2 Pulp Ark Awards for 2015: Best Writer and Best Novella (for American Hercules: The Lion of Nemea).
His significant works include the Gunfighter Gothic series, The Bear at the Top of the Stairs, The Haunting of Kraken Moor, Used to Be: The Kid Rapscallion Story, Adventures of the Five, Stuffed Animals for Hire, and American Hercules.
