About Mark Louis Burgio
Mark Louis Burgio was born near Buffalo, New York. As a youth, Mark loved to draw and create stories. While attending high school in Alden, New York, Mark was able to get a comic strip about a dog named "Donavinn" published in the local paper. He did this for two years. After moving to Springfield, Missouri, Mark took his comic strip ideas and fleshed them out into stories for children. Mark's first self-published book, "Dustin McCarthy Tames a Tiger" started out as a Sunday School lesson for his students. His second book of Juvenile Fiction entitled, "The Mysterious Gift of Mr. Octavinosh" was an eighty-page magical Christmas mystery. His latest book, "Phoenix Lakota and the Seraph's Gate" is Mark's first full length Christian novel for Tweens and Young Adults. He hopes to turn this into a book series to be picked up by a larger publishing house. Some of Mark's books are now available on the Kindle.
