Amazon.com Review

Kind of like an I Ching for writers: You throw the book open to wherever and some good advice or insight spills forth from this greatest of American authors: The same man, after all, who said he hadn't done "a day's work in all my life. What I have done I have done because it has been play . . . " A good attitude, indeed, to bring to your word processor, quill pen or typewriter.

For any Mark Twain fan, any student of Clemens' life and times, for any writer--- This book will stay in your library forever and you might go to it time and time again - and always learn more, think more, and ponder longer about the genius writing of Clemens and all we can learn from him. Author Mark Dawidziak offers valuable lessons in Mark Twain in this concise book; he took the time to 'write it short' - to make every word count and all Twain fans will recognize the talent in the author's economy and presentation. Thank you for a wonderful book Mr. Mark Dawidziak. This book is a 'keeper' and will stay in my library.

How can anyone be a lover of literature--especially American literature, and not stand in a kind of awe of Mark Twain's abilities? Simply put, he mastered not only the English language, but all forms of the American dialect and knew how to 'get it across' the page and into the heart of the reader. While the world has produced many, many truly great authors... no one has done it quite like Twain--no one. Therefore, this compilation is, simply put, tremendous!
