It covers everything from public speaking to networking to product development, social media and 'how to work with extraverts".
I've been subscribed to Marcia's newsletter since 1999 and have bought several of her products, which just goes to show that yes, introverts can market and create long-term, valuable customer relationships without pretending to be something they're not.
If you cringe whenever you read advice from the average marketing guru, I highly recommend you download this book then curl up with it in a nice cosy corner somewhere to plot your strategy for (unassuming) world domination.
Marketing for Introverts offers practical advice in an easy-to-follow organized manner with absolutely zero fluff. Chapters include Public Speaking, Networking, Getting Published, Publicity Seeking, Video Marketing, Product Development, Social Media, Charisma, and Personal Branding - all for Introverts. The author also gives solid advice on how to get along with extroverted clients.
As a proud lifelong introvert who has also studied personality theory in graduate school, I found the advice in the book sound and practical. I learned that product development often comes easily to introverts and why this is so. And at the other end of the spectrum - things we'd rather avoid - I picked up tips on how to network and how to add videos to my marketing endeavors.
I recommend this ebook that gives concrete guidance about how to "reach success on your own terms."
She gave me insight into many topics, including: how to rethink networking (which I have to do a lot of in my profession), a new perspective on social media, effective ways to work with extroverts and how to make a video as a promotional tool. I liked that Marcia gave a lot of personal examples in the book too, which was reassuring. She articulated exactly how I feel (awkward) when attending networking events.
I've been a subscriber to Marcia's Marketing Minute newsletter for years now and also follow her on Twitter. I'll continue to read her work and look to Marcia for professional help and advice on all things marketing related.
