From the Manufacturer

Award winning Blast Pad is (in our opinion) the best missile launch system out there. Combined with our missiles the moon is now in reach. The launch tube extends to almost 3’ and the flex tube won’t kink to restrict airflow. We have thoughtfully designed it to only blast in the vertical position (9 degrees either way). All the parts store neatly into the base. Comes in assorted colors.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best of the pumper rockets October 2, 2005
Verified Purchase
I bought 3 of these type rockets for my child's 4th birthday party, and this one is by far the most durable and easiest to use. My kid is small but was still able to easily make the rocket shoot into the air. The housing is made of durable hard plastic rather than foam rubber which is easily smashed. Of the three we bought, this was the only one left intact after 30 children swarmed all over them.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great toy for kids! May 7, 2006
By Adam C
I just got back from the park with my 5 year old where we played with this stomp rocket toy that another family brought to the park. Nearly all the kids wanted to play with it and stood in line to stomp the rocket into the air.

These rockets go very high, but are light and come back to the ground softly.

I am buying one for my son's upcoming birthday. This is a must have toy that creates a crowd!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Stomp Rocket that actually works June 16, 2005
I have bought other stomp rockets before and they simply did not work unless they were perfectly positioned. This toy is wonderful. My daughter who is going to turn 4 soon loved this toy. She can jump on it herself and that is something because she has a hard time jumping. It is good for the little ones to learn how to jump and balance. They can put the rockets on themselves and then they run to go get them. Kids get plenty of exercise. While one is running after a rocket, the next kid is putting one on. Wonderful because parent need not be there to operate. Excellent for a wide age range. Adults like stomping too!!

3.0 out of 5 stars awesome fun but rockets wear out quickly September 24, 2009
Initially, this is a fantastic toy for a 2-4 year old boy, but only for about 2-5 playing sessions.

The problem is that the rockets don't last for very long. They are made out of an aluminum vellum type material that mis-shapes easily. Once the rocket is "wrinkled", stepped on or crunched, it becomes misshapen and no longer launches because of too much surface tension with the launcher. The rocket needs to be made of a material that is more flexible so that they will stay perfectly round for a longer period of time.

As is, the owner must replace the rockets after about 2-5 bouts of extended play.

It would be a great toy if it lasted longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blast Pad is indeed a blast for our kids! June 27, 2009
By dhs1991
Our sons, ages 5 and 3, had so much fun playing with the Marky Sparky Blast Pad of some friends that I decided to order one for them. What a terrific purchase! Although the recommendation is for kids ages 8+, it is an easy-to-use toy for even my little guy. The kids get a lot of exercise, jumping with all their might on the launch pedal and then running after the launched rockets. It's a good group toy, too, since kids can take turns and "compete" to see who can send their rocket the highest. Grown-ups can join in the fun, too. The rockets go impressively high--my guess is our kids can send them up 20-25 feet in the air, my husband has gotten some to go as high as 40 feet.

This toy is an example of simple things sometimes being the most fun. The set-up is a piece of cake--just expand the launching tube, pull out the air pedal, slide on a rocket, and stomp away! Storage is neat and easy, given that everything tucks away into the handy carrying case.

I would highly recommend the Blast Pad for kids ages 3+. It's a fun, engaging, easy-to-use toy for a wide range of ages, and it promotes sharing and exercise to boot.

A Super FUN toy that requires NO BATTERIES??? Sign me up! We gave this to our son this year for Christmas, and EVERYONE had a blast playing with it outside. You can even aim it to the side (some holes appear, so you have to have a heavier jumper), and watch it soar across the yard.

We also purchased the D+L Company Dueling Stomp Rocket Set at the same time to compare, and well... NO COMPARISON! Do NOT waste your money on the D + L, it would not stay together and appeared to be of lesser quality.

A HUGE bonus to this already awesome gift... It fits together, nicely displayed on the carrying case (as pictured), so very easy to keep it all together.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great launcher, poor construction August 17, 2011

Great entertainment for our son's 5th Space themed birthday party! We had the kids make their own paper rockets and launched them with this toy. Sadly after about 30 minutes of use the launch bladder split. We taped it but it doesn't work as well with the tape. For the price, I expected it to last longer than 1 day. We'll have to see if we can find some sort of glue or epoxy to fix it because it is a GREAT Toy when it works!

My six and three year olds love this rocket launcher. Even the little ones can launch the Rockets above the trees in our back yard. This also drew alot of attention from the neighborhood kids watching and wanting to come play with it. I love that it keeps the kids active and moving outside and adds an exciting element to their make believe games. (It's been a rescue signal, a space rocket, a smoke signal, a flying fairy, has determined the winner in tag, the list goes on and on.)

The design is clever and collapses compactly and quickly. The three rockets are colorful and sturdy even when being used by my kids as a variety of make believe items the did not include their intended use.

The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because on our innagural use, the stem that extends to launch the Rockets was accidentally stomped on and lost the pressure required to launch. However, after a minute of fiddling with it all that was required was a slight adjustment of the tip and we were back in business. After a few uses since, if any difficulty arises I just readjust the tip by applying a bit of pressure and, it works great.
