I like this book more than many other early readers. It has a simple plot that follows a predictable storyline. A lot of early reader books don't have a lot of talking points to them. This one was really nice. My child likes the pictures, the story, and could pretty much read it on his own after doing it together a couple times. I like that there are other Marley books that he can also explore, too.

I bought this for my Great Grandaughter, who lives aboaut 1,200 miles away, and we hardly ever see one another. Books are my way of keeping in touch. She is 8 and loves to read.

I like that John Grogan has all types of books for kids. He provides early readers, hard bound picture books, flap books, etc. Great author and great dog Marley.
