Don’t let the pretty face (fabric) fool you; this is a serious glove that can handle long days in very cold weather. The combination of Marmot’s waterproof and breathable MemBrain fabric in the insert and DriClime 3-dimensional wicking technology in the lining make for long-lasting and unbreakable protection and comfort for delicate young fingers. The gauntlet quickdraw makes it easy to secure, and high loft fleece lining is luxurious and warm.

1. They are water proof
2. They are easy to put on
They seem to do an adequate job of keeping her hands warm. We live in northern Vermont so sub-zero temps do happen. In these cases we opt for mittens instead, but otherwise these do a good job. She prefers the dexterity of a glove to the mittens, especially when skiing.
The only true downside is the cuff. I wish the cuff was a little longer. She has comparable gloves from Lands End, but the Lands End gloves have a longer cuff. Both the Lands End glove and these Marmot gloves have one pull closure on the cuff which is nice. But the Lands End gloves are not waterproof... which makes them almost worthless. As long as your child has a long enough jacket, though, these gloves are great. Marmot is a great brand for winter gear and they did a good job with these gloves!
