From the beginning, down has been Marmot's foremost insulator. No synthetic surpasses the lightweight, compactability and longevity of down.Down Defender
This specially treated highly water-resistant down offers an extra level of moisture protection for down sleeping bags and garments that might be exposed to wet environments. Marmot Down Defender helps prevent down from clumping and losing its loft in damp conditions allowing it to maintain its loft 10 times longer than untreated down. It also helps maintain the down's loft in moist environments and dry faster than untreated down. The treatment is extremely durable, ecologically safe, and free of PFOA and PFOS.

I bought Sacky on Amazon, I walked 500 miles to Central Oregon from Sacramento and survived a whole winter in a tent with temps to -5. I used only a USGI Poncho Liner either as a liner or draped on top- I was Fine- Never was even close to chilly.
It weighs so little and the Quality is Top Notch- my friend had a Plasma 30 and it was cool- all lightweight and stuff- but he got chilled in single digits. Also the plasmas are not as tough. Think Silk as compared to a junky thin trashbag.
Sacky is a Legend.
