Wipe outs and all- they held together and I was never cold, even when the wind kicked up!
She stayed very warm with only underarmour leggings underneath despite the fact it was only 25 degrees out.
Well made, love the back pockets detail.

About Marmot
In April 1971, University of California Santa Cruz students Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley were in Alaska on the Juneau ice fields for a Glaciology school project. This was where the idea of Marmot, originally a collegiate climbing club, began. Reynolds and Huntley soon began making prototypes of down products such as vests and sleeping bags in their dorm room in Santa Cruz. By the spring of 1973, Reynolds and Huntley partnered with fellow climber Tom Boyce to open a modest rental and retail location, named Marmot Mountain Works, in a 100-year-old building in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Their first large order was for 108, as the producer called them, ""very puffy jackets"" for the movie The Eiger Sanction, with Clint Eastwood, which helped make down outerwear fashionable. In 1976, Marmot was one of the first companies to recognize the value of a new technology being developed by W.L. Gore & Associates. Marmot was soon producing waterproof Gore-Tex sleeping bags, with Reynolds and Huntley testing early prototypes by sleeping in meat lockers and under fire sprinklers, and later introduced the waterproof/breathable fabric into nearly all Marmot products.

From humble beginnings, Marmot and its product line have grown over the years, and today the company is headquartered in Rohnert Park, California, with offices all over the world and distribution in more than 60 countries.

For snow/ski pants these are amazingly good looking. Easy to move in, warm in the most cold and windy weather. I wore a lightweight thermal under layer while exploring Sapporo, JP during the snow and ice festival. I was warm the entire time. They also have been put to the test, flying down the hillside on a sled with my 4 year old. Wipe outs and all- they held together and I was never cold, even when the wind kicked up!
Would buy these again in a heartbeat!

I ordered these for my very petite daughter. They have an adjustable waist band which was able to be adjusted to make them fit. They styling was very cute. She stayed very warm with only underarmour leggings underneath despite the fact it was only 25 degrees out.

I like that if she grows a little more they should still fit due to the adjustable waist.

I don't usually write reviews but I absolutely HAD to for the Marmot Skyline ski pants. I'm a curvy girl with an athletic build - 5'3" and 150 lbs, carrying most of my muscle and fat on my hips and butt. Most curvy women know that it's extremely difficult to find pants that fit your body. I found a lot of brands extremely lacking in terms of "shape diversity"; most ski pants seemed to be made for women with long legs and narrow hips (the opposite of me!). The last pair adequate ski pants I owned were a pair of North Face Sally pants in SHORT and SMALL. If you've ever gone shopping for this particular size and style you'll know just how rare it is to find! Well, unfortunately for me, the outer shell ripped at the crotch after less than two months of use (4-5 ski days, really). How disappointing! I was pretty upset to have wasted the money but honestly a bit relieved to go back to searching for the elusive "perfect fit" of snow pants. I must have tried just about every women's snow pant available at the shop, in both S and M sizes. Nothing fit right until the Marmot Skyline (SMALL). I was AMAZED - finally, something that fit my hips and didn't drag on the floor as I walked! What really impressed me was the adjustable velcro bands on the inside of the waist. That's not something that I saw on very many snow pants but it's a feature that's much appreciated for folks like me! The insulation is fantastic and I know I'll be cozy warm on my upcoming trip to Whistler. I love that these pants include FIVE pockets (2 in front, 2 in back, 1 on the outside calf). I'm not a fan of the new, slim and streamlined ski pant look, I like my pants to have pockets, so these were perfect for my needs. Lastly, they were one of the few pants that didn't flatten my butt into a pancake (whoo!).

All in all, a great purchase!
