Lynn and Jerome Watson have been together since meeting in the halls of Booker T. Washington High School, in 1993. Twenty-five years, a house, business and three children later they are on the heels of their 18th wedding anniversary and Lynn's 40th birthday.

Lynn thinks their marriage bed is suffering and wants to spice it up. Jerome, on the other hand, thinks Lynn is overreacting. His thoughts, if it ain't broke, don't break it trying to fix it.

Then something happens that shakes up the Watson household and secrets are revealed but the biggest secret, Jerome has and his lips are sealed.

The Marriage Bed was a part drama, part mystery-thriller that told the story of Jerome and Lynn, an unfortunately un-happily married couple. Lynn attempted to be the perfect wife to her husband – catering to his every need, nurturing their children, and being open to all of his desires. Jerome, on the other hand, didn’t seem to know the definition of reciprocation.

Both are harboring secrets, but only one of them comes clean. By the time the other does, it’s too late… or is it???

This was a great read. I believe it highlights realistic drama that can occur between married couples, as well as the unfortunate consequences that unresolved conflict can lead to. This is about the third or fourth book I have read by this author, and I believe she truly has a gift. I will be reading more books from her in the near future. Time to catch up!! :)

This book was very interesting & def. is a page turner for sure. Everything about this book teaches you so much about self worth & the importance of trying to keep a healthy marriage. Unfortunately for Lynn that did not turn out too good; Trying to be a good wife by talking to her husband & letting him know to be honest if he feels as though he desires another woman & getting sex toys to make things more exciting in their bed & marriag still resulted in him letting his desire for temptation with another woman ruin his family. It’s sad to realise how much you love & need a woman when she’s finally gone & no longer wants to be left with any memories of you. I admired Lynn & her strength, because no matter how broken she was she cane back stronger than ever & showed us the beauty of true strength & the courage to move on when God has other plans for your life. I believe her husband really loved her, but he let his affair with another woman jeopardize everything he worked hard for & now his sorrys, pleas & tears will leave him with nothing, but regrets cause he lost the best thing that’s ever happened in his life. Men are so stupid, but he made his bed so now he has to lie in it‼️

I gave this book 5 stars because I enjoyed it. I personally feel that this book tapped into genuine emotions of a marriage that's been damaged from infidelity. More than enjoyment; I got real substance from this story. This story can be applied to more than just infidelity, but it can be applied to any situation that has broken you to the core, it lets you know that with Prayer and surrendering that God can heal you, He can heal the brokenness,you can forgive and freely love again without reservations. After a mistake and then the forgiveness, forgiveness does not mean that things are going to go back like it was, sometimes it's the act of letting go and moving on without the angry.

This is one of the worst books that I have read in recent memory!!! All of these folks are "church folks" but they behave like lustful idiots with absolutely no redeeming qualities!!

Why go to church or get married if you don't plan to or will not uphold Godly principles. Having an affair is not an accident. It is an intentional violation of the covenant of marriage or any intimate relationship.

Pure Garbage that God sees day in and day out in this country and the world!!!

This book was wonderful. After 20 years is thevgrass greener on the other side. Jerome thought so and in the process he lost everything precious to him. I loved this story and Lynn was my favorite. My favorite line. I'm going to get you a snicker because you acting like. B. This book shows the power of love and forgiveness. It shows just because you forgive you don't forget.

This was a great book, lots of spiritual insights, but it was not entertaining if i wanted to read a book of this magnitude you can always go to the bible, and for some people that says they can't understand the bible, a study bible is always better to read.

Not sure who would have classified this book as "religious/inspirational" but it is NOT. It has sex, bad language and portrays the characters (a minister and his wife) as never abiding by the vows they took when they married. Needless to say, I didn't finish it and am not happy to even have it on my "deleted" list. I think the most disgusting thing about it is that the person who tried to write it used the Christian faith as a foil for the disgusting behaviour portrayed in the book. Also, I had to give it 1 star. It should be minus 5 stars.
