For over 50 years Marriott has been providing excellence to each of our guests with the highest quality and most comfortable bedding products to offer as part of the Marriott Sleep Experience. Our beds have been guest tested and created to ensure Marriott's highest standards. Marriott was the first hotel to place a foam mattress in our rooms for the ultimate sleeping enjoyment of our guests. Today, foam is the fastest growing segment in the retail market due to many advantages over innerspring mattresses. The Marriott foam mattress provides a better sleep by alleviating pressure points and reducing capillary restriction, which can cause the body to turn at night. The Marriott foam mattress is lighter than most innersprings, allowing the ability to rotate the mattress easily. All bed materials are hypo-allergenic and protect against dust and allergens. The exclusive Marriott hardwood and steel spring box spring will add years to the life of the mattress itself. The Marriott Bed carries a 10-year manufacturer's warranty for defects in workmanship. For all Marriott Bed inquiries, please call our Concierge Service at: 800-311-0708. The Genuine Marriott Product Guarantee ensures that this bed is the bed specifically manufactured for our hotels. Products from other vendors or retailers cannot be assured to be Marriott quality or genuine to what is offered in our hotels.

The positive ratings are accurate....but only if you've purchased this bed BEFORE 2014. Now, it's barely worth the money. Here's why.

Prior to 2014, the only hotels that I would stay in were the Marriott brand hotels. When it comes to beds I knew that the Fairfield Inns would occasionally have the comfortable Jamison beds, the Staybridges would frequently have some variation of the Jamison mattresses (always comfortable) and the Marriott and Residence Inns would always have the famous Jamison mattresses! Since my career required that I travel, I pretty much know their mattresses! :)

Well, last year (Dec 2014) I ordered my mattress from the Marriott.com website. I had the model number of the bed that I wanted because I pretty much harassed the managers of housekeeping at 2 nearby Marriott hotels for this information! At first I called Jamison Mattresses and noticed that the greeting no longer said "Jamison Mattresses" like it did the month before when I called. The person who answered told me that Jamison Mattresses was bought out by another company but they were still selling the REMAINDER of the mattresses that they custom made for the Marriott. They told me that they had a specific number that I needed to call in order to buy it. So I called that number and was forwarded to the Marriott.com website. I specifically asked the people at Marriott.com whether or not they were still selling the Jamison mattresses that they've ALWAYS supplied the hotels with. I was told that they did. I placed my order (which was over 2K) along with the mattress padding and was told that I would receive my bed in 2 weeks. My padding came within 3 days and at the end of about 2 weeks I called to find out when my bed was coming so that I could make arrangements to be here.

I would recommend this bed for the money. I travel weekly and stay at Marriott properties because of the quality of their beds. When it was time to replace our current bed at home, this was certainly a bed I wanted to consider. There have been a few comments that the bed at the Marriott appears to be softer than the one that arrives. I also read that ordering the entire Marriott bedding package makes a more comfortable bed. So I did order the bedding directly from Marriott and the bed from Amazon which was $250 cheaper than going directly through Marriott. When the bed arrived within a month (two weeks earlier than promised) it was firmer than the beds at the hotels I visit. However I do believe you need to order the bedding to go with the mattress. After a few days, both my husband and I truly have had the best sleep in years. I have a sore hip which was getting worse from our old mattress and I wake up now with no pain. All the Marriott properties have converted over to the foam mattress so I highly recommended that over the box and spring mattress they still offer. The foam gives firm support and not the sinking feeling you get with other foam mattresses. It also is not to hot which is another complaint of foam mattresses. I would highly recommend if anyone is considering upgrading their current mattress.

We purchased a King size Marriott bed directly from Marriott. Delivery took only two weeks. We replaced the bed we bought only three years ago because it was a terrible disappointment and terrible for our backs. After staying at Marriott Hotels for years and noticing that we always had a good nights sleep and no back aches, we had to get one for our home. We also purchased the topper (a must) and the bed skirt as it is a perfect fit. If you buy the bed, buy the cover/topper because it completes the feel and comfort of the bed and is made exactly for that bed. Even though we knew that we liked the bed (foam) we researched all the popular brands. Even the most expensive beds (up to $20k - ridiculous) had complaints. Memory foam is not the best for a bad back because it is hard to get out of! And they are hot - not good for those of us that live in a hot climate. Sleep number beds are basically air beds surrounded by a mattress cover. Many people seem to like them but the price just blew me away. The Marriott bed allows me to sleep through the night - something I haven't done for YEARS. The bed also comes with a ribbon on each end that tells you what month you should rotate (not flip) the bed. If making the financial investment concerns you, stay at one of the hotels for a night to test out the mattress! There is no return/refund so be sure before you buy. I will say that without a doubt you cannot do better for the money or any amount of money. The words "verified purchase" will not show up next to my review because I didn't purchase the bed through Amazon but be assured that we did purchase this bed and we do love it!!!! If you purchase a queen size, you can get a split box spring (like a king has) to better fit through doorways. One last thing - it was pouring rain when the bed was delivered and as it is completely encased in plastic from the factory, there was no problem at all. Great buying experience!

I purchased the Marriott (foam) Hotel Bed from shopmarriott.com after staying in a Marriott for an extended period of time and finding the bed to be the most comfortable I'd ever slept in. I suffer from back problems and decided it would be worth the cost to get a good night's sleep.

Unfortunately, what I discovered later was that the bed at that particular location was the innerspring version. The foam bed initially seemed quite comfortable, though significantly more firm than the one I'd experienced at the hotel. We'd also purchased all the extras - pillows, topper, sheets and comforter, etc. - and that greatly added to the comfort level (not to mention cost). We did find that the bed held some heat in the warmer months, and I would sometimes wake up in a bit of a sweat, something that had never been an issue with prior mattresses. We have not experienced any sagging.

We figured (hoped) the bed would soften up as it became more broken in. We have had it for nearly four years now and the comfort level seems to have actually gotten worse. Both I and my husband - who has never had back issues - toss and turn all night. He sleeps on his back and I on my side, and we both wake every morning stiff and sore. My shoulders often hurt from sleeping on my side on such a firm mattress. I held out as long as I could, but a couple thousand dollars is not worth a poor night's sleep. I'd hoped this mattress would last us 10+ years, but I'm here writing this review because I've given in and am currently online shopping for a new one.

I wish this mattress were better. It is definitely made of high quality materials (for which I have given it one extra star) and will surely remain in good condition for many more years.
