The only think which I'm puzzled about is the shiny foil reflector on the front. It looks like its there for a 'purpose'
I thought maybe I got a defective unit, so I had Amazon send me a replacement. Same problem. This product just doesn't work. I recommend completely avoiding the Martha Stewart brand and instead buying the EK Tools brand. I bought one of a similar size from them and it makes perfect little circles with no errors every single time.
After punching a few sheets of paper the cutter would no longer line up. I had to push the edge of the thinner side down while I punched in order for the two halves to line up and make a cut. We were using it for my baby shower we needed to make 10, 4" hydrangea balls and 2, 5" so you can imagine how inconvenient this was, especially since it happened right away. After about 7 balls the cutter became very dull making frayed edges and uneven cuts AND it stopped lining up again. After 10, 4 inch balls it quit working completely. So I would say this is reliable if you are only making 1 or 2 small hydrangea balls but for party decorations, which is what it is made for, it is absolute junk.
