watch youtube videos to figure out how to use it. I also need more information on how to store it after use. I don't want it to dry out while being stored.
I love playing with the colors and using the silicone molds. It's like play-doh for adults.
-comes with reusable rubber stamps, though I'd probably only use those for a wedding
-the clay mixing instructions were pretty accurate
-the clay rose-making instructions were clear and detailed (this is the primary reason I bought this kit - I saw the clay flower segment on Martha's show and wanted to make them at home. It's very easy)
-clay was a little hard, as if the box had been sitting on the shelf for a while
-I know this is a starter kit, but I think it should come with enough white clay to make at least half a dozen roses since this is what they show in the product's advertisement; also, it comes with several floral wires, which seems to imply that you should get an adequate bouquet out of the kit (I only managed to get three natural-colored roses out of it. I mean, I have a lot of brown left over, but I'm not going to make a brown rose, you know?)
-floral tape wasn't sticky at all and kept falling off; I got no use out of it whatsoever
Again, I paid $25 for this kit and I thought it should've come with a little more. After doing some research, I found kits with twice the amount of clay and a better assortment of colors for a lot less. And you can watch or read the clay rose tutorial on Martha's website, so all in all, buying this starter kit isn't really necessary unless you want the stamps.
I also purchased her acrylic satin paint set, which I have yet to try, but I hope I'll get a bigger and better bang for my buck out of that.
Martha has done it again!
