People often say that craft glitter shouldn't be used in makeup, but I used this as eyeshadow and had no problem! Martha Stewart glitter has amazing cut & quality that it shouldn't be compared with other craft glitters, especially for makeup.
My quick instructions: Prime the eyeshadow area on the eye with a bit of light gold eyeshadow (for gold glitter), cover with a thin layer of clear Duo eyelash glue and pack the gold glitter on little at a time using a thin eyeshadow brush. Be gentle as this flies everywhere!
If you are looking to use this in makeup always try a patch test to see if it irritates you. Like all glitter - avoid getting it in your eyes!
I sprinkled it over wet floor paint and then put a satin clear-coat over the top when the paint was dry. When the sun hits it, it sparkles, but it's not obnoxious or grotesquely overdone. The perfect touch!
I used it with a variety of glues and for a variety of projects. I did find that using Krylon's matte clear spray worked very well and has held up the best. We used it on a pair of shoes that needed some glam. I sprayed first, then shook glitter on, then sprayed again. A final coat of spray seemed to be key in keeping the glitter in place and this was probably our least messy, least glitter-shedding project.
Just as a warning: because it's so fine the glitter is extremely hard to contain. You're going to find it EVERYWHERE despite your best efforts.
