One would think the reader would understand that a "Photon rifle" or gun would shoot photons... but really do we need to read that Ozzie shot photon blast after photon blast after photon blast in rapid succession spraying photon blast into the rocks.... Or how many times must he read the "Ancient Coptic hieroglyphs" or push the holo button on the holodisplay.... or do we really need to know that the S99 roadrunner bandit capwesal ship has a ionic drive that puts out ionic waves....
I won't be getting the 3rd one.... I should have stopped at the first.

There are way to many plot twists to count and everything seems to happen at warp speed. The action is non-stop and incredibly exciting.

I'm working on book number 3 so you know the first two were really good. This guy Ozzy has the worst luck of any space archeologist ever. One of these times I would like to see him get credit for saving humanity or just staying alive for another hour, read the series it is well worth it.

Summary:
You would think that the life of an archaeologist would be boring, but Ozzy’s life is just the opposite. He was forced to uncover ancient Martian artifacts for the High Judge to protect his daughter Lily-bug until an old nemesis, the Dunrakee, returned. A century ago, the Dunrakee forced humanity off of Earth to make their home on Mars and now they have returned to once again attempt to take their home. Now There is an old tale of a Martian weapon of great power the Arc of Concordant that could save them if it really exists and Ozzy is one of the few who can decipher the ancient text. Between having a bounty on his head from the High Judge, outsmarting the individuals determined to take him out, saving Lily-bug and the world from annihilation, Ozzy has the odds stacked against him. With help from his friends and a lot of luck they just might have a chance with Ozzy’s determination to protect his daughter.

This was a fast paced and riveting sci-fi series and it isn’t over yet!

Great Sequel

In my reviews I don’t write about the plot or characters much, if at all. I feel that readers find a book much more entertaining when they discover the plot and characters reading the book. This book is a wonderful sequel. The writing is getting better with each book. I very much like the story. It moves along at a brisk pace. I couldn’t put it down and read the book in two sessions over this weekend. It’s perfect for a rainy day. He is continuing to develop the characters. He is giving us more information about them in each book. I feel that in the multibook series that we don’t want to learn too much too fast about the characters. While we know who “ wins”, the plot has twists and turns and makes you wonder about how bad the bad guys are and how good the good guys are. In my opinion this book is better than the first one.
This is a fun book for dedicated sci fi fans. I recommend that you read and discover what fun it is.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Pardon me while I date myself, but this series reminds me alt of the authors of old who first gave the world space opera style books, like E.E "Doc" Smith, Edgar Rice Borroughs and others of their ilke. Can't wait for book 3 should be amazing.

I still enjoy the book. (Some great ideas, and evil characters). Bur remember the coyote in the old Road Runner cartoons? Every time something happens, something keeps happening. Like first he gets hit with a rock, then an anvil falls on him, an elephant falls on him, etc. No matter what it seems like Ozzy can't catch a break. The storyline gets left out, (which is real interesting) to read what happens next to poor Ozzy. I am waiting for the Ancients to go beep beep.
