Rich tone should last as long as the inspiration does. Martin SP Lifespan strings are the next level in studio performance. I purchased a lovely Martin D-41 guitar earlier this year. Since I've owned it, I have tried various strings. I play it a lot, and keep dates and notes on the cover of each box. I feel these are the best-sounding, longest-lasting strings.
I have also used Martin regular Acoustic Phosphor Bronze, D-Addario EJ24, Martin Eric Clapton.

These SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze sound best on my Martin dreadnought. Of course, your playing style and tastes may vary, but I love these strings.

I never want to buy any other type of strings again.

I have played acoustic guitar for about 15 years now, and I have tried many different types of strings. Some were more expensive, many less.

These strings lasted me through 2 practices and 1 gig per week for 3 months without any noticeable change in sound or feel. They retain the beautiful, rich, warm sound that Martin SPs have always had, and now they last 2-3 times longer. If you like the sound of playing with new strings but hate the work of changing them, buy these strings. You won't be disappointed.

Years ago, people tried to convince me to try elixirs. I hated the feel and sound. These feel like regular SP strings but have a dramatically longer lifespan. Aptly named.

Gorgeous sound. Incredible lifespan. A must for choosy guitar players.

These are the best strings for how long they last. I play often and these last at least a month, which is the longest Iv'e found. Mpst strings last about a week with me. The sound quality is also great. Warm bluesy sound with a booming base.

These are being used on my Martin HD-28. I love the strings. I am mostly a flat top and blues picker so I need some projection. These strings do not disappoint. I am ordering another set just to have on hand. Love the sound.

Fantastic. I was buying the regular Martin strings in bulk buys, here (3 packs or more)... Never again. These strings are fabulous, and they LAST. They have a TRUE sound, not the warbly change (my opinion) of the other nano-web coated strings. For my Martin, I will NEVER buy another type of string, again.

They sound great but they seemed to get dead on my pretty quickly. To be fair, I do live in a pretty hectic climate at 10,000ft up and am not very good at casing my guitar with a humidifier(except for my new martin hd28-12;)

I was playing D'Addario coated long life medium gauge strings but there was a lot of buzzing. I tried Martin SP's and the buzzing was gone, the tone is amazing, and they last just as long. My guitar sounds terrific and is so much more enjoyable to play without the buzzing.

I'm a Martin guy; however, their strings are mediocre at best including these. I purchase them to put on my 28 style guitar to compare it to other new Martins store side, as these are what all new Martins ship with. If tone and longevity is what you're after, I recommend D'Addario Exp 17 phosphor bronze.
