I have also used Martin regular Acoustic Phosphor Bronze, D-Addario EJ24, Martin Eric Clapton.
These SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze sound best on my Martin dreadnought. Of course, your playing style and tastes may vary, but I love these strings.
I have played acoustic guitar for about 15 years now, and I have tried many different types of strings. Some were more expensive, many less.
These strings lasted me through 2 practices and 1 gig per week for 3 months without any noticeable change in sound or feel. They retain the beautiful, rich, warm sound that Martin SPs have always had, and now they last 2-3 times longer. If you like the sound of playing with new strings but hate the work of changing them, buy these strings. You won't be disappointed.
Years ago, people tried to convince me to try elixirs. I hated the feel and sound. These feel like regular SP strings but have a dramatically longer lifespan. Aptly named.
Gorgeous sound. Incredible lifespan. A must for choosy guitar players.
