Your First Ukulele
Ukuleles have now usurped the recorder as the no1 instrument for aspiring musicians and it’s easy to see why. Small in size, unmistakeable in sound and with only four strings the Ukulele offers the kudos of a guitar with a much smoother learning curve, it really is the ideal first instrument for young and old alike.
The Martin Smith ukulele has been specifically designed with this in mind, ascetically pleasing with a high gloss finish to provide a quintessentially cool look. Nylon strings, that whilst taking time to settle, provide a softer feel for even the smallest of hands, making hours of practice and callouses a thing of the past. The kit is completed with a durable carry case to support you either at home or on the road, this really is the ultimate starter kit for your or a loved ones musical journey.
With the accompanying two month subscription to TakeLessons, you won’t have to endure yet another rendition of three blind mice, so get yourself strumming a McCartney classic or a Ed Sheeran chart topper with a Martin Smith Ukulele today.
At Martin Smith, we know the value of convenience. We’ve included a carry case so you can easily take your ukulele on the road or to the beach.
A beautiful glossy finish makes the Martin Smith ukulele stand out in a crowd.
Metal Tuning Pegs
No plastic to be found here! These metal tuning pegs are engineered for maximum sound quality.
Four Nylon Strings
The Martin Smith’s high-fidelity nylon strings have been selected for that softer feel. The strings will take time to settle, but your fingers will appreciate this.

The free lessons I got are pretty cool too. They offer alot more than just uke lessons (languages, other instruments, etc.)
This item is a great deal. Just don't expect much out of the carrying bag. It really gets five stars for the price, decent quality and excellent shipping.
-It's a working ukulele
-it sounds good once it's tuned with new strings
- Seems durable
- Cute, and a good starter instrument
- Not the best paint/ finish job
-You need to get new strings for it immediately
-the fret board isn't the best looking
-The case is hard to fit the instrument in
Overall, if you're getting it as a gift for a child or just something to try out a ukulele and decide if you want to buy a better model it will work perfectly. If you want a high quality ukulele from the start, don't buy this, get out of the cheap ukulele section, and plan on spending 50- 100 dollars. If you plan on buying this also put a set of ukulele strings in your cart, they're 5 dollars and worth the good sound. If you plan on getting it to travel a lot with, invest in a better case.
Also, the fancy "case" that comes with it as show in the photo...practically garbage bag material.
