I had never hear about rice vinegar before buying stuff to make sushi. I was blown away by the flavor of the vinegar alone. It doesn’t sting your nose like white vinegar does and there is a sweetness to it. I was a little skeptical when I first received this product and especially when I mixed it into my rice for sushi but after the rice cooled I then realized, this is what sushi rice tastes like! I always assumed they just used plain rice haha. I am hooked now!

Well packed, tastes like it supposed to and got here really fast.

My aunt was a firm believer of the many benefits of vinegar. She used it in her hair to keep it curly, (IMHO, it made her smell like salad), to wash a kid’s mouth after cursing, to clean the house, to let bad spirits from passing through your door (I don’t remember what she used to keep them from going through the walls😅).

Awww, the smells stuck with my childhood memories. 😉✨

This may be my favorite vinegar ever. I add it, at the table, to many foods. My ONLY complaint is that the pouring insert in the mouth of the bottle does not allow for very controlled pouring. It comes out much too strongly for you to be able to sprinkle it around whatever you're putting it on. But the taste is really, really good!

This is actually a wonderful product, a seasoned rice vinegar from Japan. Amazon's packaging of this item was excellent, because the item is bottled in a vinegar bottle. The packaging by amazon locked the glass vinegar bottle which is sealed at the top into a cocoon that could not be broken in shipping.

This was my first purchase of the Marukan brand rice vinegar, as virtually all of my kitchen staples must be ordered online for shipment to my location. Previously I have used Kikkoman rice vinegar, which was all right for my needs, but I prefer the slightly tangy flavor and the aroma of the Marukan. I've enjoyed using it with rice and in fish marinades. Last night we used it as a SUBSTITUTE FOR MALT VINEGAR ON FRENCH FRIES and it was a great light flavorful change! I'm glad that I found this item. I will buy it again.
