About Mary A. Kassian
Mary graduated from the faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine from the University of Alberta, Canada and studied systematic theology at the doctoral level. She has taught courses at seminaries across North America, and is a popular conference speaker to women's groups internationally. Mary has appeared on numerous radio and television shows, including Focus on the Family, Family Life Today, Revive Our Hearts, and Marriage Uncensored.
Mary and her husband love hiking and biking in the spectacular Canadian Rockies, spending long winter nights in front of a crackling fireplace, and escaping the snow from time-to-time to dive, snorkel and paddleboard in the sun. Naturally, they love spoiling their adorable grandkids . . . and their black lab too. Mary also loves demo day! . . . tearing down walls, ripping up floors, trying her hand at electrical and plumbing, building stuff, refinishing furniture. She knows her way around a hardware store and is happy as a lark when she has a power tool in her hand.

Award-winning author Mary Kassian provides readers a biblical guide to becoming the strong, resilient, capable women God created them to be.
Our culture teaches us that it's important for women to be strong. The Bible agrees. Unfortunately, culture's idea of what makes a woman strong doesn't always align with the Bible's. As a result, Christians often have a skewed view of what constitutes strength. In The Right Kind of Strong, Mary Kassian delves into Paul's exhortation in 2 Timothy about the women of the church in Ephesus and uncovers warnings and truths about seven habits that can sap women's strength. She helps readers avoid these pitfalls by
- carefully considering the people they allow into their lives,
- taking control of their minds by taking every thought captive,
- quickly and regularly confessing sin,
- intentionally engaging their emotions,
- living out what they’re learning,
- developing confident convictions, and
- embracing their human weakness and leaning on the Lord.
She reveals how, by implementing these seven habits, Christian women can walk in freedom and grow to be strong God's way.
Highly anticipated follow-up to the True Woman 101 Bible study for women
When we step into God’s plan for womanhood, we step into the great adventure of discovering who we’re created to be. The greatest display of God’s glory, the greatest wholeness of personhood, the greatest joy of human relationships, and the greatest fruitfulness in ministry come about when we embrace and celebrate His design.
In this Bible study for women, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth and Mary Kassian delve into Titus 2 to celebrate redeemed womanhood. Exploring 10 “design elements” of biblical womanhood, they will lead you on a 10-week journey of discovering what a beautiful heart looks like, and how it leads to a beautiful life.
Each week is divided into five lessons that provide opportunity for group interaction and delving deep into Scripture. You'll explore the following themes:
- Discernment
- Honor
- Affection
- Discipline
- Virtue
- Responsibility
- Benevolence
- Disposition
- Legacy
- Beauty
The Lord wants to come in and do a radical renovation of your heart. He wants to change you into a godly woman from the inside out. If you let Him, He’ll give you an extreme makeover . . . a new interior design. Why wait? Begin your renovation today.
Feminism remains one of the most urgent issues the church is facing today, as shown by the increasing confusion over gender roles in marriages, families, and churches. With a growing number of theologians and denominations advocating radical gender egalitarianism, we must answer many questions about women in the church-and in the wider culture. In order to do this, first we need to understand the history and development of feminist thought.
In The Feminist Gospel, Mary Kassian provided a thought-provoking inquiry into the history of feminism. Now, in this thoroughly revised and updated book, she revisits the subject, adding to its history an examination of the effects of feminism. The Feminist Mistake is a reliable, biblical critique that will provide answers and inspire serious reflection on this issue.
Inundated by popular culture, many women have lost their bearings and no longer trust the internal compass that intuitively affirms those things that are good, true, and noble about womanhood.
As Jesus’ favorite and most powerful teaching tactic was the parable, it is appropriate that Mary Kassian walks the reader through the compelling tale of the wild versus wise woman found in Proverbs 7. By using 20 points of contrast, she helps readers discern wild from wise, saucy from biblically savvy, and more.
Girls Gone Wise in a World Gone Wild will captivate, convict, and challenge women to become decreasingly worldly and increasingly godly, and it will equip them with truth for that journey.
Includes questions for personal reflection at the end of each chapter
Have you ever wondered why God made both male and female? Have you thought about His purpose for you as a female? Have you considered the fact that God has intentionally planned everything about your life?
Then join Bible teachers Susan Hunt and Mary A. Kassian in this 35-day devotional, digging deep into God's Word, hearing what He says about your womanhood, and learning how to live as a "true woman" day by day.
Each day begins with a short devotion and then a 'Time For You' section—a time for you to read, think, and pray about living for God's glory. Interspersed throughout are personal stories and thoughts from girls like you:
What you spend your time with and allow your mind to dwell on will be displayed in your life. Girls need to realize that they should only spend their time enjoying the words, sounds, and images they want to become. (Allison, age 17)
The media encourages girls to be loud and bossy. In shows, the quiet girl is always picked on and ridiculed. (Connie Jean, age 13)
Modesty to me is beauty. It outwardly symbolizes what Christ has done to our hearts—made them new, clean and worthy of coming into God's presence . . . that’s what modesty is about. (RuthAnne, age 17)
Becoming God's True Woman is A True Woman Book
The goal of the True Woman publishing line is to encourage women to:
- Discover, embrace, and delight in God's divine design and mission for their lives
- Reflect the beauty and heart of Jesus Christ to their world
- Intentionally pass the baton of Truth on to the next generation
- Pray earnestly for an outpouring of God's Spirit in their families, churches, nation and world
A charge to women to recover what the feminist revolution has robbed them of: the God-given beauty, wonder, and treasure of their distinctive calling and mission.
The feminist revolution was supposed to bring women greater fulfillment and freedom. Yet women today feel anything but fulfilled and free because they have lost the distinctiveness and richness of their calling as women.
Now a movement is spreading seeds of hope, humility, obedience, and prayer-a call to return to godly womanhood-and its truth will resound in the hearts of readers through the powerful messages of Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Susan Hunt, Mary Kassian, Carolyn Mahaney, Barbara Hughes, P. Bunny Wilson, and Dorothy Patterson. Though each author approaches the subject of godly womanhood differently, a thread runs throughout that will instill joy and delight at the greatness of God's created order and the part he wants women to play in his grand, redemptive plan. Includes a study guide.
