About Mary Ann D'Alto
I have always loved writing! And books! When other little girls were playing with dolls, I was cataloging my books (with scotch tape and bits of paper) in a cardboard "library", complete with those lovely little slips in the back of each book. I even charged late fines! Years later, when I applied to Barnard College, my essay discussed why I wanted to become "required reading''. After College, when everyone else ran off to get their MBA, I happily trotted off to Library School (Columbia Univ.) where I found a perfect fit for my love of reading. I kept writing, filing journal after journal.
I wrote my first "novella", "The Four Princesses" at age 12, and it still sits proudly amongst my many journals of poetry and short stories. Not even the New York State Bar Exam could satiate my craving for the written word! And so, I have at long last written my first novel, "He Counts Their Tears" (Dog Ear Publishing 2015) available at Amazon. It is the story of Dr. Aaron Stein, a charming psychopath. This is the first in a trilogy. "The Suffering Room" (wherein we follow the lives of the women Aaron has discarded) is complete, and due out soon. "The Parade to Hell" will follow. Yes, I know what happens to Aaron (AND to Secret Aaron) at the end of the third book, BUT I AM NOT TELLING!

As for "more about me": I am a vegetarian, a member of The Innocence Project and The Forgiveness Project, and one of the worst golfers ever to venture onto the green. That being said, I am really much like you, dear reader, for despite differences in beliefs, political party, and tastes in fashion (a basic black and a simpler string of pearls for me!) you and I are exactly alike where it counts; we all want happiness, peace of mind, and joy in our lives. And so, I wish you happy reading, and everything that you wish for yourself.
