This was a well argued book. It was culturally, exegetically (not too academic that the lay person would be lost), and historically/theologically engaging. It will prove to be a very much hated book, as it thoroughly debunks the ungodly false teachings of egalitarianism, feminism, and addresses the subtle but dangerous errors that one can find in narrow complementarianism (Pruitt and Trueman) and crypto-egalitarianism (Byrd & Miller). This review itself may gather hate and be tried to be used against me. Oh well, let them try.

Well done! I have been so discouraged by churches trading truth for a lie for the sake of “not offending” people. This book plainly states what scripture is saying about men and women. It also fills in the gaps that complementarianism has left open.

This book is diligently researched, well written and biblically faithful. Zach is a lawyer and methodically works through the biblical text and reason to present an undeniable argument.

I love this book so far. a great rebuttal to many theological errors the Church is making regarding roles of the sexes.

Thought the author did a great job in expanding on this important topic. Learned about the book, from hearing the writer being interviewed on various podcasts.

This was an excellent book. He clearly lays out the Biblical position of patriarchy.

This is a much-needed work, filling in the weaknesses of complementarianism. Garris does unapologetic exegesis and simply states what the texts say. His emphasis on the natures of men and women are biblical and right on. Get this book. It is the best book I have read on what the Bible teaches about gender. Biblical Patriarchy needs to be rediscovered by the masses.
