Oh how I love thee, Ms Donovan! And thy pack!
Steve and Gareth are, well, Steve and Gareth! They love Ivy, they do, they just can't quite get their head round this romance lark! With some prodding from Darren, Natasha, and Josh, they do ASK, and when they do?? its beautiful, I'm not giving details, but its done in a way only wolves can do it!
We get a little, and I mean teeny tiny bit of Darren and Nastasha, some Dane and Jezza, and Alicia has her own moment that leads into, not quite the next book, but it leads into her story soon. With whom?? not saying!
Its only a short burst, 31 pages, but just enough to keep you hanging on til the next book, which will be soon, I hope!
Donovan has a very British sense of humour, for an American, and I get her, I really do! I so love the way that humour comes across, and I'm sorry if you dont get it, you really are missing a treat!
I was given the opportunity to beta read this little ditty, and I thank Dahlia for that. This is NOT a beta review, I purchased the book, since I love them so much!
They are already suspicious of Ivy’s friendship with her Uncle Alim. However, knowing Ivy, she is going to show them a thing or two about trying to dominate her! The masquerade ball is where things can happen, and usually does. Come along with Ivy as she expresses her love of life, and friendships that the two wolves have to endear. It is a bumpy, hilarity adventure for all. Along with intrigue as her best friend has to reveal a life-changing event that, her Uncle Alim will not be too happy about.
I have fallen for this series, hook, line, and sinker! The stories have such humor, suspense, along with adventure. This page-turner is quick to read, and is well written and is non-stop from the beginning. Ivy’s character is tough, loyal, and determined not to be walked all over by these two dominant, alpha wolves. When all they want is to keep her safe and loved. However, they have a lot to learn about relationships. Since they have never had a connection with any other female until Ivy came along. The mishaps are laugh out loud hilarious, and keep you wanting more. I would highly recommend this book! I do suggest though to pick up the first two books in the series.
Dahlia wrote another 5-star book. In this short story, she continued to develop the characters in the Blackbird series. It was refreshing to see the heroes we loved from Ivy be far from perfect. Even in this short story, it is easy to fall in love with Ivy's two wolves.
Thank you, Dahlia, for continuing a great series. I look forward to next story in the series.
