"The story is decent, as a game it's great on game play, has a lot of options, but it's obvious the game was rushed into production, hence the 4 stars. Since the Andromeda offshoot didn't do well in sales, all the story questions the game left unanswered will remain unanswered because they've cancelled the series. It's a shame; had they not rushed it, with the excellent game play, the sales would've been better & the sales would be better, the questions would be answered, with good games & great play."
He did seem to enjoy it. I love watching him play games. The original "Mass Effect" game trilogy had a rich story line & great characters, & was engaging to me to watch as he played. This one seemed to be good, but I could tell it was "off," somehow, which Sam explained as the game being "rushed" - & I had to sdmit, once he said it, that seemed to fit with my feeling it was "off" somehow compared to the original series.
I wish they'd fox this, send the fix to the owners, & renarlet the game, then continue part 2 without rushing it. The story is pretty engaging. It's a shame to lose that.
But, the game is not a grand slam, as you can see by my 4-star rating. There is nothing I strongly dislike about the game, but I do find an arcade element has crept into the game. I have encountered several scenarios that include "almost but not quite" impossible serial jumps to progress to the ultimate goal. These can be rather frustrating.
As I stated above, I still enjoy this game immensely and look forward to finishing this one and seeing more in the ME:A series. I recommend this game to you if you enjoy science-fiction type shooters with a strong story element.
