Top Customer Reviews
The game gets significantly better after the first few hours so I feel a 3 out of 5 rating is more appropriate.
Well, it turned out that lots of things. To sum this up - this game is unbelievably boring. Bad graphics, glitches - this all is annoying. But I'm 6 hours in the game, and I'm just giving up, I'm bored to death. I'm a working parent, and I'm only playing 3-4 games per year, so those better to be good. Unfortunately ME:A is not one of them.
Unlike the other Mass Effect games there really is no sense of urgency which is good. In the first mission of the game I explored, played around with the scanner, uncovered a lot of the map, and saw some interesting things on the planet. I have read that people are complaining about the planets all being the same, yet if I remember in Mass Effect 1 there was the same problem. All of the planets looked the same with different colors and textures.
I think that people waited so long for this game that expectations were almost impossible to meet. They are looking for a grand story line and fast paced action. I don't know about the first but based on the set up so far the story looks interesting. As for fast paced, when I played Mass Effect 3 I actually felt like I could not explore because of the urgency in some of those main missions. How could I go looking through systems for resources when the reapers were attacking a planet?
This is not Shepard's story line. The reapers are not trying to destroy Andromeda. This is something new and I think when given a chance to dive into the story people will be pleasantly surprised.
