After buying a Bluetooth Smart Bulb I was very interested in having one with a remote control for my seven year old daughter. I liked the idea of her having it as a night light. I was a little disappointed to find that the light isn't as bright as bulb I had previously bought but it is only a three watt bulb so I guess that is my bad. One main issue I have with it is that you have to be pretty close to the light bulb for the remote control to work. The remote control also isn't always responsive and will take multiple pushed to get the desired color. Once you get over that though, the colors are very pretty, and it works very well as a beautiful nightlight. I bought two, one for my daughters room and just one in the living room for fun. I have it set to fade through the different colors to add a bit of whimsy to my home. I am looking forward to trying it with different lamp shades.

If I were going to purchase more bulbs I would most likely go with a different brand in search of one that has a better remote features.

This light bulb wasn't what I was expecting in the least. It's rather like a less expensive version of the ones controlled by your phone with an app. This one is more like the candles I bought for my mantle where you can change the color with the click of a button. There's an argument for each kind of bulb and it's uses, this one is great for my daughter's room. It's about half the cost of the "other" bulb, so I don't feel bad if something comes along and it gets messed up or broken.
This bulb is pretty much the same as a normal bulb, except that the metal portion goes up the stem area. I assume that that is for remote control purposes. The remote itself allows you to change to over a dozen colors for a nice vibrant glow. You can even dim it or make it brighter with the remote. The remote itself is a little unreliable - sometimes it works great. Other times not so much. Might be operator error, but if it's as simple as the push of a button it should work better i think.
My daughter thinks it's cool though, and she's planning to take it to her dorm room. I might have to take the remote to the lamp though, because if that tiny remote gets misplaced the light won't be good for much. Watch the video to see the colors and how they affect the light in the room. You can somewhat see with the photos, but the video shows it better I think. I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review. I will periodically update these reviews as I have more experience with the product.

I love the colors this light puts out! I like to pick a different color each night while I am watching tv. It is not a glaring light that I would have expected from an LED bulb. I do have a cloth lampshade, maybe that makes a difference, but the light is nicely muted. The remote has been a little unresponsive at times, perhaps I need to change the battery, but it works pretty well for the most part. It would be a lot of fun to have several of these on different setting for any party. I have a floor lamp that takes 3 bulbs and having 3 of these in that lamp would be great.....looks like I need to get a couple more!! I purchased this at a discount in exchange for an honest review.
