Great airbrush, but needs to be inspected for QC.
So i am not a Airbrush guru such as folks that have been using them for 15 years, but have enough experience with them. With that out of the way, here is the TLDR:-First model was faulty, but the replacement is working great! I think it comes down to QC, as clearances matter on precision instruments.Details:-The first purchase came in and at first glance it looked great. It would spray oddly upwards and worked, but it felt "off". The spray pattern wasn't fully straight and it would clog after few minutes of use. Prompting cleanups every 5 mins. The internal cup wasn't fully coated either. Taking a closer look under magnification, you can see the issue on the attached picture (Front facing -cup up) The Nozzle and cap aren't concentric. (They are not aligned) The air exiting will only be partial on one side, causing improper spray. This was also the case with the 0.5 and 0.2 nozzle. So it was a quality issue. And it doesn't take much for this. This is under 100 microns of an issue im sure.- Replacement came and it appears to be a "newer" model. While still being the same G233 kit, it contained revisions. See pictures. Top view picture, new is on left. Side view picture, new is on bottom. Front view picture, with cup tilted is new. Revisions to this model are: thicker front needle cap cover. Thicker cup without a chamfer. Bigger cup hole feeding the needle. New rear adjuster and rear body. Laser engrave, rather that etched branding and a much more comfortable trigger. Most importantly, the nozzle and caps are centered as seen in the picture. This airbrush now sprays like a dream. Have not had a single clog and the spray pattern is smooth.- Lost a star because of my issue. But otherwise its a great airbrush. I will not say you must avoid it and get an expensive one, because that is not needed. It is a great airbrush regardless. I am here to say that ones with good QC will work great and you must be ready for a replacement if its not working properly. Just pay attention to the nozzle and confirm it has the proper clearance. Would totally buy another one no problem. As with any tool, good cleaning practices and proper use, it should perform as expected.
