As far as putting the buildings together goes - yes, you will need some additional equipment, namely glue, a knife, some sort of cutting board, etc. More so than that, You will need patience and a good set of eyes! (some of the parts are rather tiny).
After You are done with putting one of the skyscrapers together, You might be so proud of yourself as if You had a part in building the actual one. I know, I was feeling pretty good about myself for a moment there!
The project I bought looked like fun. It appeared to be a matter of punching out the perforated sections and folding them together.
I am writing this review is to warn you what the packaging for the project I bought failed to mention: specialized craft supplies are "recommended." Namely: - a craft mat or cutting board - craft knife with #11 blades - steel rule - craft glue - glue stick.
If you have such equipment, then go for it.
If you don't, it may be difficult to enjoy working this project.
I've rated it three stars because I don't know for certain that "Master Builders: Skyscrapers" requires the same equipment as the "Construct New York" version, but I personally would not risk it.
