Loved that they have aptx low latency Bluetooth codex built into them to allow for lip syncing of video on my FireStick and Apple TV, however, it only supports Bluetooth 4.2 and the microphone for calls is totally useless. For $250 or less get these headphones over Bose or Sony but for $500+ not worth it.
Pros: Excellent build quality and low latency codex’s (unlike Bose or Sony).
Cons: ANC is horrid compared to any other manufacturer and the microphone for calls is useless. The ANC tech is comparable to the Bose QC35’s in that there is only 2 microphones.
IMHO: I came to get these based on my horrible experience with the APM’s (Air[pod Max). I went through three (3) of those all became defective within 25 days of purchase due to a MAJOR design flaw with the collection of moisture in the ear cups due to their use of aluminum. They decided to not use any conformal coating so the moisture would eventually cause the transparency mode button to go crazy and it would just start turning on and off, on and off, on and off, non-stop. This happened to all three pair so this is clearly not a situation where I three lemons. Anyway, I digress, get these headphones if you want decently priced pair of low latency headphones. Otherwise, besides the APM’s (which you MUST avoid) your only other option is to get the Bang & Olufsen, BeoPlay H95’s which will set you back $800+. If you can make the jump up to the Bang & Olufsen H95’s those are the best newest technology with the best ANC and low latency codex’s.
Conclusion: If you want low latency codex’s with Bluetooth and ANC you only have three options of the APM’s, MW65’s or the BeoPlay H95’s. Gun to my head I opted to up it and say “buy once, cry once” and got the BeoPlay H95’s and so far I don’t regret spending the extra coin. Depending on your situation and what you use your headphones for you might be better off going with the Bose NC700’s or the Sony XM4’s if you don’t watch TV on an actual TV via Bluetooth (I need this at night when the wife is trying to sleep). Otherwise, you’re stuck with only expensive options so choose anything but the APM’s (you’ve been warned). For the “renewed” price of $300 you can justify buying these if you want to watch TV on an actual TV via Bluetooth and want some level of ANC but that’s about all these are good for.
