With a Coton de Tulear, their hair is finer than any other dog I know. It gets tangled very easily. This comb works very well and is higher quality than the one I replaced.

I have two Shih-Tzu's and their coats can be a big problem. I read about the rotating teeth being helpful with grooming, so I bought this comb. It is terrific! The tangles are easier to get out, and combing through them doesn't hurt the dogs as much as when I use my other stainless steel comb.

I hate to have to give this anything lower than a 5 star rating, because it really works great. The rotating pins are the only comb (of at least a dozen combs and brushes I tried) that works on my long-haired (Main Coon mix) cat who gets horribly matted each summer. I have even used it (with a good washing) on my own long fine hair that is prone to snarling. However, no matter how wonderfully it works, it is held together by two screws on the top. One of the screws popped out in the middle of combing out my cat and I never found it. I have tried several hardware stores and even an eyeglass repair stand to find a replacement screw and have had absolutely no luck. For now I have it held together with a piece of floral wire, but it isn't as sturdy and definitely not as easy to use with this homemade fix. I tried to find the manufacturer for a replacement screw, but was unable to find any websites or service numbers.

This comb worked great for a month, then a tiny screw fell out. Now the comb is useless, and the seller won't accept returns or exchanges after 30 days. Don't waste your money.

I love this comb, but I bought two and the screws came out of one, how do I go about getting a replacement.

There is no better basic grooming tool for animals with loose skin like cats and many small dogs, or for those with delicate coats that are prone to breaking when pulled. When there aren't major problems the rotating teeth just glide through the coat while still removing loose fur and undercoat, but you still should be careful with mats and bad tangles. Because of the moving parts, there is a soft "rattle" sound when you move it: when my cat hears this she comes running because she loves being groomed with it. The solid quality is typical of Master Grooming, and the comb is heavy. It is a good tool for any pet owner, but I especially recommend it to those with long-haired cats or with dogs that don't have a smooth coat.

My Maine Coon mix is in love with this grooming tool! When he sees me coming with it, he gets excited, and eagerly lies there splayed for the combing to follow. The rolling teeth are what make this comb stand out from the crowd. Bought this on the recommendation of a friend who has several long-haired cats, and it's worked exactly as she said it would. Completely satisfied, as is Abner.

This comb is great for brushing my pomeranian puppy! He does not like to sit still for brushing, but this brush makes the process much easier!! The comb was bigger than I expected, but not too large that I couldn't use it on my puppy (< 5lbs). It is gentle on any matts that my puppy has as well which is great!

I had owned one before and all of the tack shops in our Western Provence did not carry them any more. It is an excellent device and our dogs like it.
I think any one that owned animals would appreciate one in there grooming box.
