I purchased these to use as a way to strap two pieces of 360 degree luggage together in an airport.

I measure and cut them to the right length, then singed the edges to keep them from unraveling.
I can now easily manage 2 Full Upright suitcases, 2 Carry On bags, and whatever else I am lugging around.

I simply put the two suitcases facing each other and cross strap them together.
This provides a nice flat top to put the carry on's. Additional bags can be slung on the handles of the main suitcases.

It takes a few minutes to put it all together and only a minute or two to break it back down.

Absolute worst purchase ever made. Bought them as extra tie downs for our roof bag, and they do not stay tight!! You literally can barely tug on it and it comes right out of the clasp. Stay away!

Since moving last spring, doing some remodeling, buying a garden tractor, and many other handyman/homeowner type tasks, I've secured a lot of loads in/on my car and utility trailer. These little straps have worked hard through it all. I've even used them to wrap up large bundles of branches and brush for dragging behind a tractor - probably beyond what these were designed for, but they still work!
I've also used several other types of ratchet and cam straps both at home and at work, so I think I have a good basis for comparison. These Master Lock straps are just about the lightest and most compact of any that I've used, but even given that, they're surprisingly tough. They're also probably the easiest to use - the cam works opens fairly easily but holds tightly, and the strap material is very soft on the hands and easy to manipulate.
One of my straps is just starting to fray in a few spots, probably from rubbing on the frame of my trailer, so I haven't been using that one for heavy tasks recently, but it is still holding up surprisingly well.
Just remember that these are not really heavy duty straps - they shouldn't be used alone to secure really heavy or potentially shifting loads, like holding a motorcycle or tractor on a trailer. Get some heavier ratchet straps for that. But for everything short of that, these are easy to use and an excellent value.

I bought this to use on my outdoor air conditioning unit cover. My Carrier dealer told me that the cover should be loose enough to allow air to dry the winter-time condensate that can build up during cold/warming periods. He suggested that a loose cover with something just around the top of the unit to keep it on during high windy periods during the winter. This is PERFECT for what I needed. Before, I had used a rope style clothes line to tie around the top of the covered unit. It was OK, but this is far better looking and holds/locks very tightly to keep the cover safe from the howling winter winds.

I purchased these to replace some kayak hoisting straps that snapped (plastic buckle). With a working load of 100lbs, I don't have any concerns with their ability to hold a 65lb yak. The buckle holds tight without a hint of slippage. These are solid straps and wouldn't hesitate to buy another set if the need came up.

I used these to strap a futon to the top of my car and drive down a long and winding road. Paranoid, I held on to the futon with my hand the entire way (as if that lack of grip and angle would have solved anything). However, these straps did a really admirable job securing the futon tightly thanks to the clamp. I was very impressed by how strong the lashing is despite being thin.

DO NOT USE THESE STRAPS FOR ANYTHING CRITICAL! They are dangerous, and will fail without warning. I was lucky the buckle on mine broke while in my hands, not while holding my kayak on my truck at 70 mph, where it could have killed someone.

There's nothing but a tiny bit of friction holding the axle in the buckle. Someday, the axle will slip out, like mine did. You will not want it securing anything important when it does.

I would suggest not buying them at all, so you don't accidentally hurt yourself or someone else, or me, for that matter.

usable
wish material was heavier or more rugged.
used to hold 60qt cooler using a 2 inch hitch mounted cargo carrier
light duty really not sure if I can trust the straps for securing 17 foot canoe on top of my 4runner's roofrack?!

again the buckle seems light weight stuff
webb material not heavy duty

good for small jobs will look for better stuff
but not really good

These are well made and easy to use. The end is presealed so unless you cut them shorter for whatever reason they will not ravel and the ends stay easy to thread through the buckle. I did have to remove the hang tags though; they were ridiculously long and flapped in the wind.
HINT: Use a sharpie to mark the middle of the webbing so you can throw just enough over the kayak that the buckle doesn't hit the car and you'll save yourself some paint dings.

Doesn't hold as tight as expected. The ones that came with my J hooks are actually better than these.
