If you want a Trailer Lock that will resist a Sledge Hammer, and I'm not saying it will totally stop a thief, but they'll have a hell of a time trying to break it and will more than likely get caught with all the noise they'll have to make trying to break it. The Damn thing weighs about 3 #s. Great Buy!!!

Dosen't fit 2" hitch correctly

Seems to be made of real good quality but doesn't fit my 2 inch ball like it soppose to. I can use it but I cant close my latch all the way down. So the lock just fits loosely and flops around. It'll work for me because I live where theft ain't a major problem but if it was, I wouldn't trust this the way it is on my trailer.

I bought this for a bulldog-type hitch. Nowhere in the description did it say that this would not fit a bulldog hitch, in fact it popped up in the search for security devices for a bulldog hitch. I would have loved to keep this, but it just does not fit.

There are a lot of cheaply made trailer locks out there, but this one is made like a tank and seems the most impervious to being broken or foiled. It is heavy duty, nicely machines and chromed. I would not hesitate to recommend this one as added security for your trailer.

We had our ATV trailer stolen. I had the tongue locked with a good locking pin. The crooks came in with a tiny ball that slipped past the tongue lock, lowered the trailer on it and drove off. They don't care if the trailer comes loose if they are being chased. Anyway, the State Patrol detective recommended this type of a lock. They are difficult to cut off and they can't be bypassed. Just a note, be sure to lock your safety chains also. They will hook just the safety chains to their vehicle and drag the trailer away. As in our case, most of the tow vehicles are also stolen so they don't worry about any damage there. Save your trailer and get a lock like this with the large flat bottom plate.

Wish the lock was made with stainless steel, had to cut one off and I used my portable electric bandsaw and it was off in 20 seconds, but I bought another one as they are the best I could find, keeps from someone just hooking up and steeling it with out some work

Headline says it all. Apply a crowbar between the frame and the lock and the lock housing bends back falls out of the coupler. At least a padlock requires a grinder or chain cutter.

Received my hitch locks ( ordered 2) and it is not like the picture. Not chrome plated at all. Might be zinc coated aluminum or else just plain painted. Was disappointed. Kept it anyway as it will work but if you want shiny and pretty, it is neither.

Lets face it any lock can be defeated with simple tools and a little time but this will slow a thief and deter an opportunist. The old ones were heavier steel this one is a lighter alloy. The older ones could be locked without a key which was nice. This one has to be locked with a key which means I need to have my key ring with me to use it.

I’ve had one for years now, just added this one. It does say chrome finish but the one I received is powder coated. However, the finish doesn’t change the functionality. It’s quite compact, sits well in the hitch and locks/latches on well.
