Perfect for Magnetic Bumper Stickers

We get bumper stickers from all of our travels and places we've lived and prefer to turn them into magnetic bumper stickers so that they are easier to move around, switch, and replace if need be. We bough this roll a year ago and the magnet quality seems durable and strong (not like those super cheap refrigerator ones) since it has been working great for us to this day and for the various types of weather conditions we find ourselves in. Whether it is the cold or the intense heat, they so far have stuck! This roll provides a good starting amount. We still have half the roll and use it on 4-5 medium sized bumper stickers. Thank you!

Now it comes in a printed, branded cardboard box. Well, the big difference is that the packaging now spells out that it is "For indoor use" (see attached photos). I immediately thought that I must have misread the listing and purchased the wrong product. But no, this is the same one I purchased before. I have read through the product listing pretty carefully to see if they mention this anywhere in the description and for the life of me, I see nothing on this page that warns against using this product outdoors. Putting this information on the packaging but failing to disclose this before selling the product strikes me as a bit deceptive. I am attempting to return the product so I can find a more suitable magnetic sheet.
Here's my personal experience with the product, and why I was ready to purchase it again: it does work, with some caveats. My own use of this product was pretty low-stakes. I only used it for applications where if it failed, the worst thing that could happen is that I might lose a bumper magnet off my car. I have not lost any, but only because I have been extremely careful with my bumper magnets. I only keep a few on my car, I only put them in places with little to no wind resistance, and I always take them off before washing my car or in anticipation of extreme inclement weather. They have survived. I don't know if the formulation of the product has changed since I last purchased it several years ago, or if they have simply added "for indoor use" in order to cover themselves in case of product failure. In any case, I have used this magnetic sheet carefully for low-stakes applications outdoors in the past, but I am no longer going to rely on a product that sold to me somewhat deceptively.

This is the second time I have purchased this product. Like many others, I have used it to transform bumper stickers into more useful magnets, both for my car and my fridge. When I first purchased this product a few years ago, it came in a plastic tube (which I did not find particularly problematic--simply follow the instructions in order to flatten the magnetic sheet by attaching it to a flat magnetic surface). The major difference is that when it came in the plastic tube, there were very few printed instructions or information. This is the second time I’ve ordered this product. The first time I ordered the magnet sheets they had a coated paper backing that was easy to remove. I would give the product a 5 star rating. My latest order has a different backing that I’m not sure is meant to be removed. It’s a vinyl type of backing and is very difficult to remove. It also removes most of the adhesive. I needed the magnet sheets to complete a project I was working on and I was able to add my own adhesive so I did not bother to return them. The quality of the magnet is the same although slightly different in appearance from my original order. First order had a slightly textured surface and my second order has a smooth glossy surface. I will need to order more but am worried the next order will be the same. I don’t have the packaging from my original order but the product # on the box from the second order is 08504. I’m hoping they just had the wrong magnet sheets packaged in the box. I’d give the product a 2 star rating but, as I said, the magnet strength was good for what I needed so added an extra star for that.
