At first, I started with that very heavy green metal edging. I was doing the Home Depot runs myself ( female, 5'4"), and just getting the edging home was wearing me out. It was about 3 years ago, I found the Master edge, on Amazon, and thought, "What the heck" One 8' strip of green metal edging was about $10.00, I was going to get over twice that amount, free shipping, and (at the time) no sales tax. Best decision ever!
1-It's light weight
2-easy to curve and cut
3-the stakes used (ordered separately, but so worth it) can be placed anywhere - not in specific spots
4-don't like where you put it - move it
This stuff has kept all the rocks (20 yards of small river rock) in it's place
Worth the price, completely! However...one last thing. As I neared the end - no more in need of edging, my husband and I were still trying to figure out how to block the wind in our grilling and fire pit area. Texas doesn't have a breeze, we get wind gusts. The summer is 100+ heat, which blows the heat from the grill right on you. In the winter, we can't sit out by the fire pit - the gusts are cold and not good for the fire. We thought of some options, but they just were either too expensive or too much work. If your yard it's not flat, this will bow from side to side as you run it around. You can control it a bit if you look and work on it.
The stakes are expensive, skip them. Where the ends connect I used a few rivets.
