I don't usually buy new products when they first come out, Coolermaster doesn't even show this model on their website yet so it was hard to even find specs or reviews, but Coolermaster has a good rep and I was doing a blue themed build so I decided to try this one. It arrived undamaged no leaks, everything is packaged well, instructions are just pictures no text, I see this more and more and it can be confusing especially if you are new to pc building. The unit itself seems well made and it came with two fans for push pull, which I did not know when I ordered it. I used for a skylake chip and it came with everything for an 1151 setup including thermal paste. The water block is very large and tall, the plastic 90 degree water fitting just fits without contacting my ram stick closest to the unit. The hoses are very stiff but the 90 degree fittings on the waterblock swivel which helps. I installed this unit in a Phanteks Evolv ATX case. I wanted to use the rear fan location but quickly learned it was not possible because the hoses are rigid and long and would have contacted and put down pressure on my gpu. so I top mounted it. The only location that would work was the middle, again because the hoses on either outward location they either contact my gpu or ram and because rigidity they put to much pressure on these components. I am using 4 sticks of avexir raiden ram which may be the tallest and fattest ram out so if you have low profile ram you might be ok. My gpu is a msi gtx 970 installed in the top pci slot. I checked my motherboard to see if I could mount the gpu in one of the lower pci slots but the lower ones are 8x and the top one is 16x so I had to leave it there. If your boards lower slots are 16x and you mount it there it should solve the issue of the hoses hitting the gpu.Read more ›

I bought this to cool down an older gaming system for a younger relative in college on a budget. The system has an AMD FX8350 with stock fan and a Gigabyte Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 in a tight case with poor airflow. These CPUs run hot and need more than the stock cooling fan. I installed this with dual fans at the front of the case in a pull/push mode. Sucking cool air in from the front and blowing it across the radiator into the case with the 120mm case's rear fan exhausting internal air.
Pre install the CPU was overheating, causing stuttering during game play, freezes and crashes. Post install, all problems were resolved, even with the cramped, crappy PC case that offered extremely poor airflow. A new PC case was purchased shortly after we installed this. Migration from the old case to the new was as simple as resting this cooler radiator on a box as the motherboard was installed and screwed down, and then mounting the fan/radiator. In other words, very easy without any need to remove waterblock pump from the CPU/motherboard. No headaches at all.

4 hours of PRIME95 benchmark MAX temps as reported by CPUID HWMonitor in the same room, same ambient temperature on the same day and Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste was used.
Pre installation Max Temp - 61 C (141 F)
Post installation Max Temp - 46 C (115 F)
*Temperatures dropped further into the 30s once a new PC case was purchased.

PROS -
The instructions were clear.
Installation was simple.
The product and packaging are quality.
The radiator fins have large gaps allowing for better airflow, cooling and will make cleaning and blowing out dust simpler! I love this!

I have this product on my current PC build. I am currently using an AMD FX 9370 running at 4.8mhz, I run 6 27in monitors, 2 EVGA video cards. Even with several programs running at once for work and playing a game on one screen temps have not exceeded 42c. Great product and easy installation.

after CM Hyper 412, this water cooling is a little noisy for me. and fans started to make clicky noise in every turn. specs are the best. perf is the best of best. aith i7-4820k 3700mhz(on turbo mode 3900mhz) i saw max 56 degree with prime95 under load %100 without oc.

The best aio from coolermaster
Better than Kraken, H100i and Fractal . Nice high and very quite air flow . The block looks cool blue however it can be changed. I cant understand why the pump is speprated by the waterblock . BUT DOES IT WORKS NICE AND EFFICIENTLY.
My 6600k does not ride above 49¡ã-51¡ã at max load and max fan and pump speed. @4.7ghz

I purchased the 240 not knowing it wouldn't completely fit in my scout II case. In it I have an asus p8z77 motherboard with an i5-3570k OCd and I was able to get the radiator to fit with no problems. Because of how short the distance is from the motherboard to the top of the case, I could only attach 1 fan to fit with the radiator. I could not get the 2nd fan to install without getting in the way of the RAM modules I put the cpu under a stress test even with just the one fan on the radiator and it still runs cooler then when it was using the stock fan. I'm going to keep it until I can invest into getting a different case. Install took about 30 minutes and did not require me to remove the motherboard from the scout II case. So far the 240 is working well and if anything changes, I'll be sure to update the comments here.
