This is my first time using puzzle glue. The glue was easy to use and was an easy clean up. The glue is applied using a white thick paper tool. The only disappointment was that when applying more than one coat of glue I washed the tool off with hot water, in which made the tool a little less even(warped). If the tool was made of plastic I would think it could cause the puzzle to tear. It is best to use the provided tool but try not to run water over it too long if you are going to use it again in the future. The bottle of glue did not have any directions on the tool other than to poor the glue in the middle of the puzzle and spread over evenly. The tool can be used multiple times. I did three glue applications to the puzzle, two on top and one on the bottom. I did use wax paper under the puzzle for the glue application. The directions state to use newspaper, but if the glue is to run off on the edge you risk the chance of the puzzle being stuck to the newspaper. Stick with the wax paper underneath and allow enough time for the puzzle to completely dry before applying another coat. The puzzle was very stiff from the product and is in excellent preservation condition. From an art teacher perspective this is an easy to use and easy to clean up product. I highly recommend it.

I LOVE doing puzzles and since I do so many I rarely have the space or time to frame all of them. I have used many different types of puzzle glue or other adhesives in the past but this has to be the best I have used to far and the only one with a TRULY reusable applicator. It takes very little time to dry and I found that I didn't even have to glue both sides before pinning the puzzle to the wall. The best thing about this glue however has to be the cleanup because the glue dries into a clear film that is easy to peel off your fingers or anything else that it may have gotten on. I would DEFINITELY recommend this product and I am going to stock up on it myself and will probably never use any other product.

good quality glue. but....i would recommend getting a brush and brushing on the glue. don't use the cardboard spreader that's included.

This glues works flawlessly
The flat edge provided with it too
After applying the first time, the 3000-piece can be picked up by hand and moved upstairs
Drying time is ~30minutes
Used about 1 bottle for a 3000 piece puzzle (32"x42")
Absolutely no dimming of puzzle image due to the coating. Coating is INVISIBLE!

Will always use this glue in the future

For those who complained about long drying time, try not to apply too much and also dont wait too long before using the flat edge to spread the glue....

The puzzle glue itself was great. I'm waiting for the back layer to dry now, but I can already tell that the puzzle will be well stuck and sturdy. Unlike some of the earlier reviews here, I received a white glue (that dried clear), so it was easy for me to see where I needed to fill in. The applicator was plastic, rather than cardboard, so I was able to easily rinse it off and store it for later when I was done.

My one critical comment is that, like others, I found that one 1000 piece puzzle is about all you can do with a bottle of the glue. I didn't apply the glue particularly thickly (and hardly got any over the edges of the puzzle), and I only have a tiny bit left over after doing two coats. No biggie - I purchased the bottle for one puzzle and that's what I got out of it. However, it definitely wouldn't cover the two puzzles that it claims to cover, especially when giving it two coats (front and back, as recommended).

So a lot of people complained that this product came with a cardboard spreader that doesn't work well. The cardboard spreader actually does a great job, it allows you to pour the glue on the puzzle and spread it in great sweeps- making the process faster. This is a great glue and works perfectly to glue your puzzle. One bottle pretty much works for one puzzle. I put two layers on top and one on bottom and I only have a small amount of glue left. A piece of advice- the directions say it needs only an hour to dry and after about an hour or so it is relatively dry but if you flip it over to do the back it is still sticky enough to stick to the surface of whatever you are laying the puzzle on. Unfortunately my impatience and eagerness to be done caused me to ruin the puzzle as it stuck to the surface and ended up peeling off some of the picture. I will have to redo the puzzle and reglue it :( I would suggest letting it dry for 2 hours or so before flipping it. Also, it leaves no residue so the picture is unaffected by the glue- it actually makes a nice glossy shine.

I used this puzzle glue to seal a 36x24 puzzle so it could be framed. Applying the glue was easy: a spreader is included, and you pour a little glue in the middle and scrape it to leave a thin layer over the whole puzzle, wait for it to dry, flip it over, and repeat for maximum durability. I encountered two problems:
* First, some glue leaked over the edge of the puzzle, sticking it down to the board I put it on. This caused some of the pieces along the edge to tear when I removed the puzzle from the board. I don't know how to avoid this; maybe it wouldn't stick to wax paper or something like that? In the meantime, I'm just going to matte the puzzle to hide the torn pieces.
* Second, when I flipped the puzzle, I accidentally applied too much force on a single piece, causing it to partially break free. Once I had the second coat applied, I had no further problems of this nature, but when only one coat is applied, be careful with the puzzle.
