I bought the same authors' "Easy Arabic Grammar"( ISBN-10: 9780071462105) together with this book. When I opened both of them, I realized they are completely same. There is no mention on the difference of titles in the books. So if you are interested in books written by these authors, please keep it mind that "Mastering Arabic Grammar" and "Easy Arabic Grammar" are completely identical. 4 Stars just for my disappointment to have bought the same content books.

This book is a nice companion book for someone learning Arabic and it explains some basic Arabic grammar an a way that is easy to understand, and the lay out of this small book is nice. I also like the cover. I use it when I tutor If you are looking for an all-encompassing grammar book, this is not it, but it is a very good start for someone to have decent grammar. It covers many bases.

This is an essential book for anyone wanting to master Arabic grammar.For a complete beginner it would be quite dry and intense,but very rewarding.
It quickly introduces the concept of the Arabic root system, which once you have grasped it,greatly helps in recognising a family of related words.
I highly recommend also buying the companion text book "Mastering Arabic",by the same authors,to get the CD that accompanies it.The language then comes alive with imaginative scenes created,with Arabic dialogue, to reinforce what you learn from the textbook.And the text content of the latter book is more approachable,interesting and often quite amusing.
It is a beautiful language and I'm sure after making progress through these two books you will be as inspired as I am to learn more about the Arab world and its people.

This book, partly, no doubt because I learned to trust these authors, is still a struggle, but well worth using, for me slowly, with a lot of repetition.
