I bought this book 2 weeks ago and I do not stop reading. I go in the middle chapter 7. Very easy to understand. So far it has been easy for me to grasp all that has been explained and even though I have been reading other books for months, this has been the best until the moment. When I finish reading it, I give them an update.

The only reason why I have not given 5 stars is because I consider it a bit expensive.

One of the worst software/application books I have ever bought. Little to no examples of how to work in the visual environment of Qlik to build apps. Look elsewhere for a book and seer clear of Qlik’s videos, they are not much better than this book.

This book tries to cover too much material - and does a poor job by not going into enough depth. The writing styles of the two authors is mediocre, where are the technical editors? Disappointing ...

Not necessarily for the person who needs to set up a QS platform as it's a little thin with regards to architecture for server layout option etc (although it does go into the cloud offerings) but most of that info is online. Lots of good information on settings up security rules, scripting and things you should think about with regards to data models and whether data should be managed in QS or upstream. It's also not Qlik-biased and points out areas that you should avoid handling in a QS app or data model.
If you want to manage a better and more mature self service platform I recommend this book

I’m new to Qlik and I wasn’t sure what to expect from the book. I must say the content in it is excellent, clear and technical yet understandable. I focused mainly on data loading, scripting, and master items. If you are an advanced user I would recommend Advanced Scripting and all sections related to extension objects.

This book is definitely the new Qlik bible. I wish it could cover a lot more but I understand it isn't possible in one book. it explains in detail advanced topics such as security rules, extensions, scripting and more. I can tell that much effort has been put into the content. I would love to read more about security rules if a second version is released!

Highly recommend this book. Being a Qlik Developer for around 10 years this book has still taught me lots, and this book it suitable for anyone transitioning over from QlikView to Qlik Sense or Qlik Sense developers or even web developers.
